Something I don't understand about all of this....The funeral director claims the military funding for the funeral was inadequate. If that was the case we would hear it from other families too. What the heck went on here?
Also the VA provides money for a headstone, but it has to be applied for.
If I remember correctly from last summer, Sheehan was fighting with Hubby over a headstone and SHE had control of the gravesite. This was after Mister filed for divorce. That's why the article says: " Sheehan also said that Casey's grave site was now being handled by her soon-to-be ex-husband Patrick."
By someone in the remaining family?! Is this another area where Cindy Sheehan has dropped the ball - perhaps deliberately?!
As far as the funeral costs being paid for by the military...makes you wonder what expenses she added to the cost of the funeral. There's probably a limit as to how much the military will pay.
Maybe Sheehan chose the most expensive of everything not ever intending to pay for it. I think almost $6,000 will pay for a normal funeral, it won't pay for the 'extras' like a more expensive casket, vault, limo, etc.
