May 1st-National Labor Boycott Planned [Activists: No guest worker program - only full amnesty!]
South Texas Republicans ^ | April 17, 2006 | Joe Solis

Posted on 04/18/2006 10:42:42 AM PDT by SwinneySwitch

Friends, it is Thursday night and I just finished watching the news broadcast of AZTECA AMERICA on cable channel 9. This broadcast is out of Los Angeles and the mother company is out of Mexico. They only communicate with their viewers in Spanish. I can understand every broadcast because I am bilingual.

Here are the highlights:

1.) The hosts and the activists interviewed are planning a national labor boycott on May 1st. The recent massive national rallies have motivated these activists to force an economic shutdown of our country. Alejandro Murrieta said the following in an interview, “We want total amnesty!! We will use economic pressure to accomplish this goal. Nothing less. No guest worker program- only full amnesty!”

2.) Univision, based in Los Angeles, sent an e-mail to its assorted radio and station managers warning them not to incite massive rallies on May 1st. AZTECA and Univision are fierce competitors for the Spanish speaking audience in the United State. What is the point? Azteca America is rallying their viewers for a national labor boycott on May 1st.

3.) Viewers were encouraged not to go to school or work. Over and over, they claimed if “we do not speak out, we will not advance.”

Commentary and questions to ponder:

How is this debate improved by intentionally inflicting a form of economic terrorism against the citizens of the United States through mass rallies?

We are reaching a point where the extreme elements, on both sides of this issue, could plunge us into a civil war grounded in massive civil disobedience.

The American Labor movement and the Democrats are intentionally turning this into a race issue by inciting the Hispanic immigrant community against “them.”

On border security issues, President George W. Bush has no spine. He has failed us over and over again as this mass exodus from Mexico and South America continues. We are to blame for allowing this immigration problem to continue.

It is our party that has not dealt with border security since 9/11 since we are so divided on this issue. We run the show in Washington. It is that simple.

It is now time for real leadership. Step up and get something accomplished. Protect our borders and enforce our laws. This is the time to act.

President Bush vowed to protect this nation and it is now time to hold him accountable.

You Will Not Believe This!!!

Conservatives, you are going to love this. Wal-Mart had two television ads during the radical Azteca American broadcast that focused on inflicting an economic boycott on May 1st. (The broadcast occurred on 4/13/06 at 10:00 p.m.)

The ads were telling viewers that they could send $1,000 to a foreign nation for only $9.46. Can you believe that? Wal-Mart shoppers are indirectly subsidizing a news station that is advocating national civil disobedience and wealth transfers out of this nation.

Our Country is in trouble. Sam Walton is probably turning in his grave.

Ariz. Gov. Vetoes Criminal Immigrant Bill
Associated Press ^ | Apr 18 11:08 AM US/Eastern | JACQUES BILLEAUD

Posted on 04/18/2006 10:18:22 AM PDT by BradtotheBone

Gov. Janet Napolitano vetoed a bill that would have criminalized the presence of illegal immigrants in Arizona, citing opposition from police agencies that want immigration arrests to remain the responsibility of the federal government.

The proposal would have expanded the state's trespassing law to let local authorities arrest illegal immigrants anywhere in Arizona, the nation's busiest illegal entry point. Congress also had considered criminalizing the presence of illegal immigrants in the country.

In a letter to lawmakers, Napolitano said she opposes automatically turning all immigrants who sneaked into the state into criminals and that the bill provided no funding for the new duties.

First of all, let's get one thing straight:

"MEXICAN" is NOT a RACE.

And for anyone to attempt to frame "Mexican" as a "race" is race-baiting. Period.

Michelle Malkin's site has a posting from activist organizers saying they are going to shut down LAX airport and the LA harbor for two days, on and before may 1st.

"truckers at the Port Los Angeles and the cab drivers at LAX who will strike and shut down ( totally shut down ) the Port of Los Angeles and LAX before, on and after May Day."

I have no evidence as to the percentage of Hispanics that support the separatism movement but from my experience here in California the percentage is very small. Typical of socialist movements is the hijacking of a cause to serve the purpose of the socialists. I confronted a young high school student at a march the other day. He was wearing a Mexican flag as a mask. I told him to grow up that playing rebel was a child's game. He took off the mask and I asked him why he was there. He told me because his friends were there. There is certainly a dangerous group based on the La Raza socialist movement but my sense is they are about as dangerous as the White Power folks.

I only hope I'm right.

I doubt this will have much impact. There have been stories of employers firing people who don't show up for work and replacing them with fresh illegals. Which, by the way, are in plentiful supply because the news of a potential amnesty has people streaming across the border in unprecedented numbers. The employers view these people as interchangeable serfs and aren't interested in assisting them gain some form of social justice.

The unions are calling for 'solidatrity' in hopes that ALL of the U.S. ports and rails are shut down. I've heard truckers are planning the same.

It's interesting to me how few the number of people are who actually show up to counter these protestors. Granted, we are far outnumbered, but I've personally been fearful of even placing an anti-amnesty bumper sticker on my car for fear of retaliation, especially with the national growth of MS13.

Same with marchers (adults) who were asked how they felt about stepping in line before legal immigrants. None had an answer.

I don't believe the Unions would do such a thing that would be so blatantly un-American. If so, they will be only cutting their own throats...After all, Illegals don't pay stinkin' Union Dues...

If it ain't lily-white it's a race; if it's a separate race it is automatically under-represented; any under-represented race needs subsidizing; whites need to boycott work and taxes.
