And really, would these illegal immigrants who can't speak english even know the difference of which country they were in? They might like France even better! I'm sure if you sat them down and had someone explain the options to them, they would take the free airline ticket. In France they would get free health care, a good paying job they can't get fired from. All the empty Churches they could possibly want, OR pick veggies for a $1 an hour in America, or clean buildings for below min. wages, or become a drug dealer and member of a latino gang

I can just imagine the "pleasant" ride you would have driving something like that down a concrete slab highway. Every bump would feel like a crater.

I bet French business owners would *love* to be able to pay them under the table and get some actual work done. Heck they wouldn't have to work for such low wages like they have to in the US in order to undercut American workers.

Native French workers are too busy striking for outrageous benefits and I imagine France's current illegal immigrants (from across the Med) have figured that all they have to do is start screaming racism and burning cars and the French government caves like...well, like the French government!

I was being sarcastic, but the more I think about it, the more it sounds like a good deal for Mexicans, and for France.
They could restore France's Christianity, repopulate France will a good labor force, and offset the Muslim population explosion. Heck, they could prevent Europe from becoming Eurabia, and prosper at the same time. PLUS, they would be able to relearn their Spanish roots by visiting Spain during the ample holiday time they would have from working under France's labor laws.

No, you drive into a pothole and fill it and traffic behind you just drives over you.

And I thought the Pontiac Aztec and Honda Element were fugly cars! The Brits should take over the plant and reintroduce the AC Bristol, from which Caroll Shelby designed his AC/Cobra 289 FIA.

Something like this

Took me a year to build this beast.

Good job. You don't see many of those kits around. Do they still sell them?

OK, here is how to save these jobs. Hire French Students to protest the closing of this factory and Chirac will pull some strings at Peugot to keep the factory open. Bam, problem solved.

Bad idea. Once you hire a French student, you are never allowed to let him go jobless again for the rest of his life. It's like adopting a pussy. I mean kitten...

I bought my kit from Unique Motor Cars in Gadsden, AL. Buy the deluxe pallet kit. It has the front racing brakes and shocks included, as well as a Jaguar IRS with dual inboard disc brakes. The rest is up to you. You'll spend a lot of time deciding on a mill from Ford Racing SVO and other goodies from Edelbrock, Holly, MSD, K&E, McCleod, Compomotive, Jet Hot, etc. The only portions I outsourced were the paint, tire mounting, and Jet Hot (ing) the side pipes and exhaust manifolds.

Plan on spending $34k+ on the project.

BTW, if you want to keep it as original looking as possible, do NOT use fuel injection and serpentine belts on the nose. Shelby would barf.

Finally, if you want t really difinitive history of the Cobra, buy Dave Friedman's Book Shelby Cobra book. See page 105 of the Cobra that Lew Spencer and Bob Bondurant drove at Sebring in 1964. I used the same paint on mine as Carroll did (yes, they still have the same colors available today).

"The Snake" is almost ready to strike.
