Ok, so we stayed over at Waimanalo Bay (Bellows) but we had the BEST time. Every time. It was awesome. I'd dreamed of Hawaii all my life and then I got there, it was better than I ever imagined it would be. I didn't care for the crowds on Waikiki, we don't care for city life.
But oh my, the turquoise water, Hanaoma (sp?) Bay, honu, the soft sound of the sea at night.... i could live there and be happy. (and we never went in Feb)

I lived there for 3 years. The novelty and joy wore off after a few months. Honolulu is just another big city. Now, on the other islands ... life is good.
Bellows is the prettiest beach, and most tourists don't know about it ... which makes it all the better.
as long as you don't have to drive anywhere , it's fine :^)
