"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
My objection to go to my pc is that you are paying $20 a month for something you can do now, for free. If you have, or can get, XP Pro, it's even easier (and performs very well) I am doing this now.
Mind you it will behoove you to learn how to secure your computer, but it does work.
