I can't believe you think freedom is freedom from the law.

My friend, this country was forged by revolution, which by the very essence was not lawful. Our founding fathers wanted freedom when they came here and overthrew their own Government. Vast numbers of illegal aliens have come to the U.S. over the past 300+ years, worked hard, became U.S. citizens and eventually spawned families that are the backbone of our country today!
The vast majority of these illegals want a right to a decent life they can't have in their own sorry country. I don't fall in line with the belief that they are all criminals and they need to be locked up.
Law breakers....bah... Give them proper treatment as human beings and they would gladly opt to be "legal" and "free".
With the opulence of capitalism, our way of life appeals to those who have less. Something our founding fathers figured out how to handle very wisley. Enslave, indenture or suppress those of lesser birthrights and make it work to your advantage. These people are trying whatever means they can use to be "legal" and "free". But we are smart and think we can keep it from happening. Much like the way we tried to control alcohol and now try to control drugs.
We think we can control these people, because we fear we will lose control over them. Hmmmm..just like our founding fathers....
Well put the wall up and then you have "control". For a short time anyway. Look at people who will give all the money they have, be willing to die in hot, crowded vehicles, abandon their families and friends, and survive in the worst of conditions to get paid wages that you and I know are ridiculous.
Can we really stop or control people with this kind of desire without looking bad?
