Do you have the proof that these people were "illegal" or are you speculating? Who decides whether they're "illegal" the courts or executive? Who sets bond and who decides who gets detained without bond?

"No? Go back and look at #1. Your call to impeach the President isn't there any longer, is it?"
No, it isn't. I hadn't noticed that.
Apparently this republic isn't so free after all.
Hope you're proud to be a part of it.

Michelle I love ya but I don't care WHY they are doing it, I simply love it happening at all. That being said, I expect to see the CEO's of Dell computers and Tyson's chicken to get frog marched out of their offices very soon. I would have tears of joy because finally, FINALLY someone is listening.

Free Republic is what it is: a privately-owned conservative-oriented website. As such, it can do as it wishes. We're all guests here. Sometimes, guests overstay their welcome and dump stuff all over the place.

then President Bush may say the hell with everyone because can't win for losing. He has already said that many times.
Islam is a religion of peace.
Family values don't stop at the border.
They are just coming to do jobs that Americans won't do.
Just a few.....

Impeachment is not designed to be used as a political tool. It danged sure ain't a legal tool.
I don't care if you have a video tape of him raping and killing a girl on the White House lawn, he is not going to be impeached.
Remember that remark!

Of course I have no proof. All I'm saying is that the government has a history of catch and release of ILLEGAL immigrants. I know that from someone who works for ICE and formerly with the INS.
I don't trust either Bush or the Congress on this issue, for good reason.

Who are you talking about? I'm opposed to impeaching Presidents for decisions they make while in office. Impeachment (and conviction) are for high crimes and misdemeanors, not for making wrong political decisions.
I'm just tired of people calling for Bush's impeachment, and tired of people calling him a traitor. I don't agree with some of his positions, but he's nobody's traitor and there are no grounds for his impeachment.
As you say, it's not going to happen.

The investigation started almost a year ago and the raid took months to coordinate. Damn those Agents are good. How did they know a year ago that these rallies would be happening?

I've got a "Four More Years!" sticker you're welcome to have.
I believe I tore that one day the same day I scraped the 4 'W' stickers off my car and put my 'Security Moms 4 Bush' Tshirt in the garage for a car rag. That was the day Bush called the Minutemen 'vigilantes'.

I don't want Bush impeached. I want him to do the will of the American Citizens, which according to all the polls and talk on the street, is to reject any form of "amnesty", enforce existing laws and secure our Borders.

That's what I want, too. I'd be very happy if President Bush did just that, or at least pushed the Congress to pass the necessary laws. If he does not, that will be very unfortunate. It's not an impeachable offense, however.
Don't misunderstand me. I think the current problem with our borders is a major one. I want border security to be a LOT better, and I want illegals to be deported anytime they are caught.
Frankly, I don't see any way to get 11 million illegals out of the country in less than 20 years or so, but I wish it were possible and I wish we'd make a start.

Who are you talking about? This is a comment attributed to Trent Lott by the House managers of the impeachment of Bill Clinton.
I doubt my version is totally accurate since I didn't google it up. But that would represent the gist of what they reported he said.

Oh, OK. I thought you were talking about President Bush. Don't scare me like that.
Seriously, that quote, especially paraphrases, isn't well enough known to be posted without comment, I think.

Sounds like a personal problem. Concerning your "security mom" stance, I suggest you take a good, long, hard look at just how much this Administration has done to keep you and your family safe.
