Jerry Doyle Files Complaint Against Nevada Senator
FMQB ^ | April 19, 2006 | Unknown

Nationally syndicated radio personality Jerry Doyle of The Jerry Doyle Show has filed a formal ethics complaint against Nevada Senator Harry Reid. Doyle filed the complaint as a citizen of the State of Nevada on the basis of a connection between Reid's intervention on behalf of certain Native American tribes and contributions made by these tribes to Reid's tax-exempt political group, the Searchlight Leadership Fund. The ethics complaint was researched and compiled by the Washington watchdog group Judicial Watch.

In the document, Doyle alleges that Reid intervened on behalf of Native American tribes from several states including California, Michigan, Louisiana and Mississippi and that Reid consequently received between $40,000 and $66,000 in Abramoff-related donations from four different tribes in those states. Doyle's complaint also noted that Senator Reid has refused to return any of the money that he received from those tribes while serving on the Senate Indian Affairs Committee.

"With all the free trips, free drinks, private jets, and an explosion of lobbying on Capitol Hill, the problem with impropriety, corruption, political favors and bribery in Washington, D.C. has become so obvious it's hard to see," comments Doyle.

Furthermore, Doyle has posted a letter on his Web site, JerryDoyle.com, that listeners can download, sign and send to Congress as a call to end corruption. The Jerry Doyle Show covers a mix of politics, pop culture and lifestyle topics and airs on over 225 radio stations.

Who cares? It's just good to see a reminder that Reid is connected to Abramoff in this "Republican only" scandal. I hope Doyle makes a big stink about it!

It would be most gratifying to see Harry thrown from his high horse. What a lying sack.

One of them has a pretty sweet recurring role on "Lost". That's about as high profile as you can get on network TV.

Well we never found out if he was able to nail Bester for that little mind block thing - Harry Reid is certainly a good target alternate.
