They're only here because employers don't have to pay them what they have to pay Americans, don't have to pay the associated taxes, ecetera. When they become legal Americans, that goes out the window, along with their attractiveness to employers.

You must use excuses alot for everything you do or you just want the easy way out of everything, huh? There are no easy answers but reality will set in eventually - Im for Americans first - we dont owe a damn thing to illegals. If people on welfare want to eat then they will work for the money to pay for their food. Pretty soon it wont be a choice - the system is going to break down in the very near future. Either we take steps now or wait till its too late.

Now for reality .... lets talk about the burden on society that these people bring. Drugs, burdens on our healthcare, education, prisons, increased crime, rapes, murders, lower wages, higher taxes, more disease, more racism (i.e. LaRaza, LaMecha), etc........

You are a funny fellow, just like most of the nuts that jumped on the Tancredo bandwagon. That`s a black and white world, very far removed from reality.
Obviously, if I want to build a fence on the border, it must mean that I realize that there is a major problem and we must stop it. But, the second part , the illegals that are here, is another issue and tossing them out won`t work. How are you going to replace them? They aren`t all bad, in fact, many have worked hard to be good citizens.
But hate and ignorance are tough to beat in Tancredo land.
