I have personally observed lesbians who are just fine at judging.

Tell me, do you think she'll be able to maintain her judicial neutrality when judging cases related to homosexual matters? Have we learned nothing?

Gosh, you guys are a bunch of swell people....homosexuals now have "emotional and mental disorders" and should be barred from serving as judges? Are you kidding me.
Good grief.

My biggest thing is not if she is lesbian or not...does not concern me as much as does she follow the constitution? If she does that than she can be a lesbian. Maybe she is a lesbian who does not practice the lifesyle. I don't know, but if she follows that constituation than I am satisfied.

"normal, stable people"....I think that once we figure out what that means, we'll all be for that.

I work with a gentleman who is wonderful at his job, delightful to be around, has a Bush '04 sticker on the back window of his car, is reliable and trustworthy and is the finest employee with whom I have ever had the pleasure of working. He's about as "normal" a person as I have ever met.

And he has been with the same partner (male) for the past 31 years.

They go to church every Sunday morning without fail, with their 2 kids, who they adopted ...a boy and a girl, who are "normal", well-adjusted kids who study hard, have excellent grades and our proud as can be of their parents, who they refer to as "Dad" and "Dad".

He thinks that gay marriage is a non-issue, that marriage is between a man and a woman, and that the gay community has no right to expect society to re-define "marriage" to suit them, especially when the leaders of the gay community behave like "neanderthals" (his word).

They did hold a commitment ceremony, which both sets of parents attended and sat with their grandchildren, of whon they are justifiably very proud.

This is a normal, well-adjusted family where the parents just happen to be gay.

What in Heavens name is "normal"?

Well, she may or may not have an emotional disorder, but her CV suggests that she WILL have strong a strong bias in certain situations.

Most of us are not "homophobes" (something that we are often called that DOES imply an emotional disorder).

I can honestly state that I don't care what anyone does in their bedroom, but what many radical homosexuals don't understand is that I don't want it taught to my 8 year old girl at school.(or heterosexual sex either for that matter)

Keep it in the bedroom, don't demand special rights, DON'T parade down Main Street in Spandex and falsies.... and we'll get along just fine!

I suggest that this is really the prevailing attitude towards homosexuals in our society. Most folks just don't want it shoved in their face's.

As you say Couselor, "Live and Let Live".

There are 21 District Judges in Denver County. In 24 years I've seen two cases that fit your description. In the meantime, there have probably been hundreds of thousands of personal injury cases. Further, controversial constitutional cases, rare as they are at this level, are always decided by higher appellate courts, ultimately.

Ditto. VP Cheney has a lesbian daughter. Whatstheproblem?
If this judge has a conflict in a case, she will either
recuse herself or a party will move for another judge.

Would you be happier if we just called it a token appointment.

There is nothing wrong with people objecting to this appointment - she is a Democrat and Gay - I would say that is pretty strong evidence for a mental disorder.

Your post puzzles me. Are you every going to reply to anything, or are you just a contentless drive-by sniper?

Are you genuinely surprised at the suggestion that a woman who has publicly embraced perverted sexual addictions has serious problems?

what's the beef here? you don't want lesbians to be judges? who cares?

Do we want someone mentally ill in any area in a position to judge the disposition of any citizen's life, liberty and property, or children? Especially there are so many that are not debilitated likewise?

I get the feeling that Democrat is more of a "disorder" than gay. ;-D

Except that homosexuality isn't viewed as a mental disorder by the APA any more. I'd also wager that in California, it isn't viewed as a mental disorder by a majority of the citizens.

Can you tell me what else to call someone who is male or female right down to the genetic level, thinking they're the opposite?
