Figures, democrats will say anything to get elected and some on FR are suckers enough to believe them.

Unfortunately the immigration issue has been hijacked by the extreme left and right and nothing will get done, except filling up the coffers of such groups as move on and tancredo's and bay buchanan's PAC.

Conservatives could have coalesced behind the Kyl/Cornyn proposal, but some are more interested in building a neo Berlin wall with mines and such.

What a moron you are. The Berlin Wall kept people in, not out.

Every nation has the right to sovereign borders. If a wall is necessary, so be it. Build it and then let immigrants apply LEGALLY to enter the country.

A few points for the logically challenged:

1) Conservatives are the far right.

2) Any workable solution to the illegal immigration problem will necessitate some type of physical barrier.

3) It's liberals in the Senate and the Executive Branch who are acting in an obstructionist manner (Tancredo's house bill passed by a very wide margin).

4) Had it not been for Tancredo's efforts, this issue would not have been addressed at all by the current body of congress. 5) Things are getting done, and the ball is rolling (enforcement is already moving ahead somewhat)... just not in the leftward direction you would desire.

  1. No, not a "neo Berlin Wall". A "neo Great Wall of China", which was built to keep invading hordes out (the operative word being "out").
  2. You forgot the machine guns and strategically placed gun towers. Mines alone won't do the trick. (or was that your "and such"?)
  3. What the heck do you know about conservatives?

"Yeah criminalizing Christian charities for giving humanitarian aid was a brilliant move on Tancredo's part."

  1. Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Giving "humanitarian aid" would not be "criminalized". Aiding and abetting the criminal illegal invading squatting leeches in evading the law would be. Giving them a bowl of soup and some water would not.
  2. Tancredo had nothing to do with HR 4437. That Bill was written by Rep Sensenbrenner, F. James, Jr. [WI-5].
  3. Rep Tancredo is not even one of the 35 Cosponsors

"Oh BTW, I saw a poster on FR saying that clause should have only been a misdemeanor instead of a felony."

I don't know what any Freeper said, but I DO know what said on FoxNews about two weeks back by a Congressman who appeared on Neil Cavuto's show as I was watching.

  1. The Felony provision pertaining specifically to the illegal alien, (not the employers or those whom aide and abet) was inserted by an amendment authored by a Democrat
  2. To date, that means TODAY - Democrats have fought, blocked, obstructed, every effort to get said Felony provision removed.
  3. That being said - so what! These people are Felons. As soon as they arrive at their destination they start to openly and blatantly commit felonies.

So much for them being 'law abiding'.

    1. Purchasing phony ID's - Felony
    2. Using phony ID's - Felony
    3. Wire Fraud - Felony
    4. Mail Fraud - Felony
    5. Federal, State & Local Tax evasion - Felony
    6. Driving without a valid DL - Felony in most states after a certain number of 'convictions'.
    7. Failing to appear in court for their numerous traffic violations - Felony in most states after a certain point.
    8. Using phony ID to obtain a 'valid' DL - Felony
    9. Identity theft - Felony
    10. Medicaid Fraud - Felony
    11. Possession of a Firearm - Felony.
Since most of the 'hard working, law abiding' people live in bad neighborhoods they arm themselves.
    12. Then there's their little maggot 'children' who join the first freaking GANG they come across and almost immediately start committing - FELONIES!

Now any U.S. Citizen who committed half these FELONIES would be looking at life in prison. Yet these criminals have the 'gumption' to "demand their right". Their rights? RIGHTS?!? They have no rights here. Except the 'right' to get the HELL out and stay out.

But nooooo, you and your ilk are right there with them. Back in the 'olden days' Stalin called people like you "Useful Idiots". Man was he ever correct.

BTW, your drivel is now way beyond embarrassing. Quit taking your Stoo-pid Pills™.

Should we tear down this portion of the "neo Berlin wall" between San Diego & Tijuana because it impedes the flow of good people that grow food & build houses?

Did you ever get a look at the wall between East and West Germany? I did, and it bore no resemblance to anything the US may build, including in its functionality. The purpose of the East German's wall was to keep people in, not out. There is a difference.
