Thinking back to Friday evening, doing research on this gang by cross-correlating names I found a bizarre one about Edmund WILSON, MARY MCCARTHY, F. Scott FITZGERALD.

Just name coincidences, of course, of the kind where we say art imitating life imitating art. Or vice versa. However, Edmund WILSON wrote a book called "To the Finland Station". Among other things it focused on the use of the cell structure to develop and maintain a successful revolutionary movement.

So, what we have here is obviously a cell structure, and the principals, so far, all have the same surnames as Mr. Edmund WILSON's crowd in the 1920s.

I think they called themselves "Progressives" in those days. Dana Priest and her husband may well be members of a different cell. And Fitzgerald, the prosecutor? Is he part of a different cell, maybe one located primarily inside Department of Justice?

I think Porter Goss has his handsful with this one. Best he go armed at all times.

Again, one more time ~ the "secret underground CIA prisons" don't exist. Porter Goss ran this bust himself, BTW. No doubt he watches the FOX TV show "24". This was part of the story line of Season 2. It was followed with President Palmer finding America subject to an atomic threat whereupon he elected to incinerate a Middle-Eastern country with nukes.

No doubt that's another story that's been beefed up to entrap yet more Communist spies inside the CIA.

So, no prisons; no atom bombs; no plans to nuke Iran.

Watch the leftwingnuts on TV continue to speak of these things as being "real".

Another avenue of approach: In August 1998 it was McCarthy at the NSC that ordered General Zinni to prepare a plan to strike Afghanistan. Zinni and Albright did all in their power to stop any Afgan strike or support for the anti-Taleban Northern Alliance. The CIA legal department did all in its power to slow down that process. In the end, thanks to Berger, Zinni, Albright, the CIA and Cohen nothing was done.

I think what is lost in all this is the important role Mary McCarthy played under Bill Clinton in really screwing up the terrorist portfolio. Remember, She was not only named the NSC Director of Intelligence Programs in August 1998, that title also included SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Thus we have the former NSC terrorist czar and Clinton insider under arrest!

I was thinking about Dana not having taken even one class in Journalism, so I remembered some of the courses I took in college that were outside of my major.
I can proudly say that I took more courses in Bowling than Dana Priest took in Journalism.
Try it. Just fill in the blank.
I took more courses in ________ than Dana priest took in Journalism.

Which, interestingly enough, put Albright, et al, on the side of the Taliban and against the formerly Communist "Northern Alliance".

That's why your analysis is faulty.

It makes more sense for Zinni and the other running dogs to have held up on ALL US involvement, one way or the other, in Afghanistan, so the Soviets, should they survive the coming breakup of the Russian Empire, could move back into Afghanistan without our opposition.

Zinni and Albright guessed wrong. The Soviet Union crashed. The Taliban could not be kept in check (because AlQaida came to their rescue).

The Communist dialectic applied to prognostications concerning Central Asia turned out to be horribly wrong.

These guys are into the same thing when it comes to Iraq. Their opinion, using Communist dialectic, was that Saddam was not an immediate threat to anyone since he'd exhausted his country in the war against Iran. At the same time, they saw no need to stir up Iran because, in the long run, the Workers (Khalk) Party might have a chance to overthrow a weaking Ayatollah led dictatorship ~ e.g. once a madman rose to the top ~ as has just happened.

So, the Commies and their lackeys in America pursued a course of moderation with Iran, even to the extent of fostering an atomic power program in that country ~ but, they failed to count on the American client state, Pakistan, making a deal with the Chicoms to get nuclear weapons technology (secretly) to hold off the new Chicom commercial enemy, India.

Khan, in Pakistan, then "sold" Pakistan's weapons technology to Iran, and Libya.

Here's another problem with the Commies ~ they are remarkably stupid and fail to think more than a couple of steps ahead ~ an artifact of using Hegelian logic.

BTW, I am finding it exceedingly disturbing to find I am able to discuss this whole CIA/Clintonista gang as if they are merely a bunch of Commies.

Just where did their mothers go wrong.

WOW...great stuff...blogosphere couldn't help out Able Danger which died on the vein....hoping for once we see many more fall then again hoping they all get their just rewards...life in a FED PEN as Pollard did.

Is there just too much protecting each others arse in DC? I mean look at Sandy Burglar, he got nothin' more than a slap on the wrist....Sorry I have little faith of the frog march to a FED lockup facility for any of these criminals.

Now let regular citizens commit such crimes....a definite frog march to a lockup facility. Over time this is just the attitude we out here in middle America have.

More on Mary McCarthy's outfit, the Inspector General's office at CIA.

The most recent CIA IG John Helgerson found out as early as late 2004 that his office leaked like a sieve. He personally was in charge of a report that evaluated the CIA and why it had failed to block 9/11. It was sent to the White House in June 2004. Thereaftger, the fact that the report had been prepared, and some of its major elements, (all of which were highly classified) were leaked to the New York Times, which published articles in October 2004. The Helgerson report was highly critical of Tenet and Cofer Black (now at the State Department), among others. The Democrats fought to block the release of this document, and to my knowledge it has never been released in full. As for Halvorson, he seems to be an ally of Porter Goss, and won his CIA spurs during the first Bush administration. Importantly, his career has little to do with the Middle East.
