U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 226 pounds of marijuana, 112 pounds of cocaine and 70 pounds of methamphetamines this weekend along the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona.

On Friday night at the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales, officers arrested a 54-year-old man from Cajeme, Mexico after he attempted to smuggle almost 70 pounds of methamphetamines hidden in a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, according to an agency press release. After further investigation by agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Drug Enforcement Agency, officers arrested three more people and seized $236,432 and 36 ounces of cocaine.

On Sunday night at the same port of entry, officers arrested a 38-year-old man from Hermosillo, Mexico, after they found 112 pounds of cocaine hidden in a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500. He was turned over to ICE.

Officers at the Douglas Port of Entry arrested three people and seized 190 pounds of marijuana in three separate incidents over the weekend.

At the San Luis Port of Entry Friday, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy from San Luis Rio Colorado who attempted to smuggle almost 36 pounds of marijuana in the gas tank of his 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The estimated Tucson street value for the drugs seized using figures from the Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Center is about $1.3 million. On Sunday night, officers arrested a 31-year-old man from Great Britain on suspicion of attempting to evade currency reporting requirements when they found $93,073 hidden in his luggage.

Funny, bringing money INTO the nation is a crime too?

Then again, he could have been "of middle eastern appearance suspected of carrying.........", and that kind of language could cause violence, rioting, and anarchy. Silly me.
