Which is something that completely escapes me. The dems would throw the jews over the wall in a heartbeat and the republicans are pretty steadfast.

It is interesting that so many university liberals are antisemitic. Not that they will ever admit it, but they clearly are by their muslim lovefest behavior.

Many Jews are uncomfortable with the Republican Party because they are uncomfortable with symbolic issues like the push to put non-sectarian Christian prayer in schools and the Roy Moore crusade. Yes, the Ten Commandments are in the Old Testament, but Jews see it as an attempt to make Christianity the guiding force of the laws, something Moore himself would not disagree with.

The "War on War on Christmas" that Bill O'Reilly pushed makes Jews feel like we're being scapegoated to bring Christians together against an imaginary enemy, which is not a nice feeling. History is full of examples of people saying "it's not all Jews, just certain bad Jews who we criticize" so it's not a consolation for people to say that Jews are ok as long as they sing Christmas Carols and smile when wished a Merry Christmas, it's the other, whiny Jews who are the problem.

As for Israel, the consensus is that both parties are strongly supportive of Israel, with the occasional Pat Buchanan and Cynthia McKinney being outvoted by the common sense held by 95% of elected officials.

Anyway, I'm repeating what I hear from friends and relatives, so don't shoot the messenger.
