MY GRANDCHILD'S LAUGHTER
In bed last night, while waiting sleep
We talked of many things.
Of haunted houses, trips and dreams
And where she got her rings.
Then out of no where, laughter comes.
We laughed and couldn't stop.
I don't know where it came from.
We both thought we would pop.
No other sound can touch my heart
As laughter from this child.
Just thinking back upon it now,
Can bring to me a smile.
I think that God picks out a time
For a child to laugh with you.
When stress and troubles bring you down,
And hearts are feeling blue.
So many times when I am tired,
And weary from a day,
Her laughter lifts my very soul
And troubles go away.
