Screaming nonsense has no more impact on me than whispering it. You can shove it in either instance.

You should label the horse "Commonsense" and the beater "demkicker".

"God, on the other hand, does not punish the innocent along with the guilty. The Biblical references show the extreme difference between what God dispenses as judgment and what mankind dispenses as judgment."

We do not have the benefit of being able to determine guilt or innocence through godly powers which is my point. Given that it's not likely that we will develop technology that will allow to read the hearts of every individual in a nation we will still have to do the best we can. Should we spare a country like Saudi Arabia that makes nice sounding speeches while pouring oil dollars into terrorist organizations? Should we spare Iraq who's government openly claims it's intent is our destruction? Or should we simply do nothing if attacked because our judgment is not as perfect as Gods?

Of course many people don't even recognize that the enemy isn't a radical group of Muslims but Muslims who actually read and follow the koran.

Well I hate to burst any bubbles for any starry eyed fans of Joe Farah, but for a professing Christian, he sure does seem to love promoting all of those damnable "Lust Filled Teachers After Your Kids" stories, he has been pushing that whole "American Hiroshima" scam for years now, every time there is a major holiday it's announced that "Osama is preparing to strike", blah-blah-blah and Joe does more to promote the goals of al Qaeda by his incessant fearmongering drumbeat about what they are "about to do" when in fact Farah's record of predictions and warnings is virtually zero. Farah is a one-man propaganda operation and Osama ought to be at least sending him $99 bucks a year just for the free publicity that Farah generates.

I too have been familiar with World Nut Daily before it was plain nutz and a part time forum for Pat Buchanan and his wacky views, and for some reason Joe feels like he needs to give leftist commentators "equal time" with that absurd "Out Of Left Field" feature, as if the leftys and liberals are NEVER heard from and "deserve" to have their "say". Give me a freakin break.

Joe may be a fine Christian and his spiritual condition is between him and the Lord, but like the scripture says "by their fruits you shall know them", and what seems to be in the harvest being presented over at WND is an increasing combo of lusty teachers and terrorist nukes.

I don't need a "G2 Intel" bulletin when I have the world at my fingertips, experts available from all over (and I might say, many of those experts who DO know what they're talking about are right here on FR), so be it $9.95 or $99 bucks or anything in between, I am reminded of Will Rogers saying (who may have gotten it from Thomas Tusser) "a fool and their money are soon parted" - iow, not for me pal but if it fills a need in your life, by all means: fill your boots, we obviously view WND through different goggles.

Regards,

MKJ

You said -- "Joe may be a fine Christian and his spiritual condition is between him and the Lord, but like the scripture says "by their fruits you shall know them", and what seems to be in the harvest being presented over at WND is an increasing combo of lusty teachers and terrorist nukes."

In terms of his Christian faith, I've heard him speak on it, on other shows. I've heard him interviewed. I believe it's legitimate and solid.

And furthermore, being of Lebanese descent (if I remember correctly, and I believe that's right) -- he has the *basis* to speak more strongly to those of Middle Eastern descent than I would (about and against Islam). And he does. I don't count as much as he does, simply because I don't have the "standing" of an adequate background (of being from that area of the world). There are a lot of Christian speakers from that area of the world who are doing a lot of good in that regard. Thank God for them. Joseph Farah is one of them.

Another person of Lebanese descent is Brigitte Gabriel. She is a real "live wire".

As far as his printing up of a lot of "lusty teacher" stories (as you put it). He has done a lot of that. From my perspective, what that indicates is a serious problem and he's putting a lot of those stories out there to show people how bad it's gotten. It's pretty bad. There are a lot of people who are just thinking that the public school system is beyond repair and that we should just leave it and teach kids at home or in private schools. That's another discussion.

As far as Farah hammering of Osama bin Laden attacking us -- well..., it's true. He's out to get us and out to get us by any means possible. What does Farah do? Well, he presents some things that we might not hear from other sources. There's nothing wrong with that -- as we each have the opportunity to evaluate it for ourselves.

I'm more inclined to believe that there is going to be some big WMD attack here in the U.S. I say that because our officials believe that. I would believe it even if they didn't -- but they do. I can see that Osama bin Laden (and other Islamic terrorist) are out to "take us down". And that's "Islam" for you.

They've got a long-range plan and it spans years. We're in this thing for years -- so I appreciate hearing about all the possibilities that are out there -- no matter what. And, at least Farah does document the stuff -- as opposed to someone just getting on Free Republic and saying the same thing without any kind of documentation, reference or other people who have information about it. He does that.

Now, I don't think Farah is in the business of "predicting the future" for us. Not at all. He's in the business of getting this kind of "news" out to us and then we can decide as to whether it's viable or not.

It's like they say on Fox -- "You decide..."

Regards,
Star Traveler

In the face of sheer overpowering verbosity, I concede.

I'll tell you whats wrong with Farah.

He's making things up and taking half-truths and making a big deal out of nothing. Again and again and again...

Everyone knows that quote. Read the book. There's more to Von Clauswitz. Nice flame though.

Far more likely is that the Islamic Facists will use "dirty" bombs ...conventional high explosives laced with easily obtainable radioactive materials. While not as destructive as a nuke, they could easily be assembled and delivered by suicide bombers and would achieve a similar terror effect.
