I bought a full-fare, one-way ticket home

Yeah, that's a rectal ticket. I mean, at this point...Terrorists are only willing to buy one-way since they intend die on the flight, right?

This is odd at many levels.

Military in uniform and on orders aren't supposed to be searched. Period.

Then I've had a bag that popped positive on the swab tests due to exposure to the elements in Iraq. All they did was re check it, call a supervisor and perform a hand search. Then I was free to fly. No problems since then domestically or internationally.

So why would a Marine get pulled out and detained? Something isn't right with this story.

Joe Foss was a WW2 MOH winner who was roughed up by TSA over his medal.

Yeah, he failed a swap test from a prior trip. He gets on a TSA list, which at this point, has no petition list to get off of unless you are the Cape Cod Orca with initials T Kennedy.

I have no idea if he was in uniform, or anything more specific than the information presented in the original article.

It's mostly likely that the TSA list is Hotel California. You can enter, but you can never leave. That is...unless you get drunk and drown your evening lay.

Wow.

Can't wait to tell Ev about this one.

You should have seen the hassle he had getting through security on Sat. a.m. The lady at the counter kept saying "Why are they doing all that? They don't have to do all that!!!"

Hubby & Katie & I didn't mind; gave us a few more minutes to look at him......until he finally waved one last time, turned around and headed for his gate; we, of course, were not allowed to accompany him.

He was already cranky about the VERY early flight, and this didn't help any.

Again, not to be a dumb bulb, that man is a real American Hero.

I recall a number of these heros being subjected to TSA nonsense.

Do you have a link to their noise? I don't have it out for the TSA. Well, Ok, I DO when they hassle the people the fight for our freedom.

My father(rip), all my brothers, and my sister are/were members of the military. I take a very dim view when they impune their motives. I would have spent at a couple years in the military except for childhood Asthma that damaged my lung capacity by about 50%.

I think the TSA needs to be elimated.

Everyone who feels more secure with the TSA in charge of airport security please raise your hands.

The incompents leading the incompent.
