A judge today ignored a plea deal calling for probation and sentenced four Democratic campaign workers to jail terms for their roles in the infamous Election Day 2004 tire slashing caper.
The four - including the sons of U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) and former Acting Mayor Marvin Pratt - pleaded no contest to misdemeanors while an apparently deadlocked jury stalled over felony counts at the end of a January trial that received national coverage.
A fifth Kerry-Edwards staffer accused of crippling Republican vans, Justin Howell, turned down the last-minute deal and was acquitted by the jury.

Justice would have been felony convictions not misdemeanors but it could have been worse.

deadlocked on felony counts?
Jury pool must have been made up of welfare recipients and Democratic enablers.

It is a Federal issue only if the thugs are white Repubs. Kinda like the Las Vegas beatings of white people going on by the all black gang of weak minded thugs. It can't be a hate crime. Nope, no sir....

Another news story you won't be hearing anything about in the liberal MSM. If it makes to the print media at all ... it will be buried on page eight, lower left corner.

I campaigned for W in 00 and 04 and I'm telling you, the other side was NASTY and MEAN, not to mention ignorant and illiterate. Some of the other side's sign-walkers were even paid. We all volunteered!

Yep. Agreed.
Shoulda been felonies for violating voter rights.
This is only SLIGHTLY different from gun laws used to prevent black folks from voting in the past (Which, I think, is the first case of gun control enacted in America).

Amen to that. But because the were Dhimmicrats no one around her said a word.
On election day an elderly and disabled lady from my church was walking home from her polling place when a Kerry sign holder asked her if she had voted. She said yes that she had voted for Bush and he swung his sign at her and chased her for about 20 feet. Needless to say it terrified her.

Bless your heart, and thank you. I do know about the other side and how violent, abusive, and uncivil they can be.
