I got interested in the view from Mexico of the illegal immigration problem. I looked in the Spanish language media and ran across this article:
Translation:
"The immigration problem will not be resolved by the construction of a frontier wall" said World Bank president Paul Wolfowitz. "I don't see immigration as a problem, it has to do with the creation of jobs and opportunities and not about building a wall between the rich and the poor."

This shouldn't be surprising: it's the usual WSJ and White House open borders garbage.

Ever notice how they couch every response with economic implications?? They are clueless as to what the people want. The sell out continues.

Mexican job creation? I think 1/2 that country is growing pot and stomping coca paste...
How can such a realist be SO STUPID?
Strong support for Israel and none for the US? He just lost my support.

He points out a compelling partnership: people like him in gated communities HIRE them, and people like us PAY FOR THEIR HEALTHCARE.

It's hard to understand that so many people in leadership positions don't want a wall.

A generic third-party presidential candidate emphasizing border security would tie a Democratic candidate and defeat a Republican, according to a new poll.
They really don't care what the voters want, do they?

That's my suspicion. I think policy makers should always have to live with us common folk. After all, there should be no walls between the rich and the poor.

Wolfowitz needs a visit by Winston 'The Wolf' (Harvey Keitel) in Pulp Fiction.

I had an interview with this pompous jerk years ago. What a creep.
In theory, open borders makes sense. In practice, open borders theory doesn't include the negative externalities (massive crime increase, deadweight costs on healthcare and education system, virtual takeover of southwest by the "return to Mexico" fanatics, displacement of US workers, etc).
Paul, this is the real world. Try living in it instead of your mansion in the DC area.

So what? If we get Hitlery maybe the liberal boil gets lanced sooner than later. The current approach of we work hard as conservatives to get Rinos just isnt working. Maybe we need another scare??
