...a growing number of businesses had pledged to close and allow their workers to attend a rally ....

As for me and my homeboys, we will monitor and tabulate any and all businesses which close on May 1 for the sole purpose of NEVER PATRONIZING THAT business again.

Actually, I predict that the only businesses which close will be the ones in all Hispanic sections of our small, mid, and large sized American towns and cities.

For those who have not entered into an East Coast, West Cost, or any coast American town as of late, you will discover that many have been inundated (some say taken over) with block after block of "no englais" illegals, most of them young males with bad attitudes.

How about real cannons? This is an invasion. These people have invaded America and the Government is doing nothing about it. It is time for the militia to save this country.

"As for me and my homeboys, we will monitor and tabulate any and all businesses which close on May 1 for the sole purpose of NEVER PATRONIZING THAT business again."

And follow up with polite but firm as steel letters and e-mails informing them WHY, and that you will be spreading the word to your friends, family, and coworkers.

if you are in a position to make purchases for a company, change suppliers, and let them know why, and that it's a company policy to no longer do business with them.

Stop in at these businesses May 2nd, and ask for the manager, and loudly, and in front of all customers (and illegal workers), let them know why you will no longer spend a dime there.

Tell them all you intend to post the message that they are to be boycotted on web boards world-wide, and it's a PERMANENT boycott.

The illegals think they'll shut down the cities for a day? Wait until American citizens shut down where they work FOREVER.

The sleeping giant is stirring in his sleep...

"There will be 2 to 3 million people hitting the streets in Los Angeles alone. We're going to close down Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Tucson, Phoenix, Fresno," said Jorge Rodriguez, a union official who helped organize earlier rallies credited with rattling Congress as it debates the issue.

There comes a time when citizens must reclaim their government.

Why have there been no suggestions of citizens opposing the blanket amnesty, illegal immigration, and the lax proposals from the White House and Congress, to hold a similar boycott. The nation would shutdown. The government would shutdown. Except for police and emergency personnel, all citizens in opposition to having non citizens direct our elected leaders, should participate. They may lose a days wages, but they are already losing many times that amount in the taxes the government takes to subsidize the illegal immigrants.

And the protest should not cite our government alone, but the repressive, corrupt government of Mexico that has so many people seeking a haven outside their own borders.

If this suggestion has surfaced already, someone please tell me. If it has not yet surfaced, a date should be set to hold such a boycott as son as possible after the May 1 boycott so the politicians can see where the real power of the country is. May 15 would be suitable.

It ain't just the coastal towns and cities. Denver's hispanics are in the majority of the population as of three years ago. Whites are a minority.
Yes.
Whites are STILL waiting for that government check for minorities to get mailed to them. Political action groups. Governmental sub committees. Etc.

When ya get that list, please post it on a thread. I know there's LOTS of FReepers who would love that information.

MY job at Coors? We're staying open and I'm WORKING! WOO-HOOO!!

"This May 1, 2006 march may be about immigration and guest workers, but if this turns out to be successful, the next march may about wages and a better standard of living.

I can only imagine the ideas running through some heads as thoughts of organization and unionization take fruition at the site of "millons of workers" protesting in the streets. If these people think this is going to end at immigration rights, they're nuts. Some of these businesses better be careful what they wish for because the next march may be about attacking them."

The unions see $$$, pure and simple. A new, hungry source of bodies and revenue to fill the union officials coffers. The unions want the illegals union dues, the Dems want their "votes" and the Corporations want cheap labor.

Actually, both sides want their votes, that's why the US is in this pathetic situation with the "illegals".

"I'll be out Monday patronizing local establishments, rewarding them with my dollars for staying open through intimidation and media hype."

Ditto that. I've been holding off buying a couple of large ticket items (large purchases for me at least) until May 1. Troy built Roto-tiller and a Crosley chest freezer both made in the U.S.A. to start with, then do some stocking up on food and a couple hundred bucks worth of ammo. Then take the Mrs. out to dinner and a movie.

** May 1 is May day. Read up about it. It has its history in communism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_Day

Yes, they are celebrating communism day. They should be protesting in Mexico City. Mexico could be a wonderful country if it wasn't so corrupt.

I think the Socialist and the Islamist are involved in these protest too.

** And use the city busses and the school buses. Mass deportation. **

A few weeks ago when they had a big protest, they used the public school buses to bus the kids to the protests. The schools appear to behind this 100%. They banned American flags during that time as well.

May 1 is May Day. May Day is the communist day of celebration.

Your question is a very good one, I hadn't realized the significance of the date until someone mentioned it today.

The organizers of this event evidently have a lot of "pink" and "red" in them.

Now I am having a hippie era flashback, to the "Mayday" protests (ca. 1970) which were going to halt everything in Washington D.C. and "stop the Government".

Aside from the fact that they degenerated into acts of vandalism and minor violence, they were pretty much a dismal failure at achieving their stated goals.

May First is the traditional day of Soviet (Communist) 'celebratory' parades displaying military equipment, units, etc.

May 5th is a Latin American celebration.

The date just might say something about the people behind all this....
