Some businesses don't have a choice but to close if most (or no) workers show up. I think an automatic, knee-jerk reaction that said business owners condone the boycott would not be wise.

In that case, print yourself up some flyers and tape them to the doors of the businesses. Otherwise they may not connect the loss of your patronage with the reason.

You might eveninclude a bunch of blank lines under your own name so others that see it posted can sign it. Something like a mini-petition form.
