The Palm Beach Count police did warrentless searches on his doctor to get his records and it was argued up to the Florida Supreme Court, who okayed it. (No surprise there, from the people who if they had their way would still be demanding vote counts in Florida until 2008 rolls around.)
However, federal law protects your medical records and I would like to see this taken to the U.S. Supremes.

No. Rush is better than that. He knows that the money won't come from the DA and his buddies. He knows it'll come from the taxpaying citizens of Florida.

Since no mugshot was ever taken of Rush, it stands to reason that he was never arrested. This was a good deal for Rush this thing is over.
It does appear that Rush was "not arrested" as the title of this thread says. However, it also appears that Rush, accompanied by his lawyer, came in on their his own to be booked - and that's it.

FYI, if Rush was "booked," he was arrested. If he had his fingerprints and mugshot taken, he was arrested. Someone doesn't have to go to jail for an arrest.

The distinction: No cop went out to get Rush to be booked and jailed. A deal was made that Rush would go in to be documented by the cops - booked.
