I know I'm alone in this impression that the film lacks a moral compass.

It's rather like films about the life of Jesus that refuse to show the Resurection or even imply it happened in the ending.

This was a depiction of how the people on the plane attempted to save the plane from the hijackers.

They knew that we were at war and tried to stop the plane from crashing into any building.

Nothing more and nothing less.
