Howdy to G.W. Harper(Toronto-Centric BARF ALERT)
The Red Star ^ | April 29,2006 | Linwood Barclay

Posted on 04/29/2006 5:31:46 PM PDT by youngtory

In what may be our new Prime Minister's boldest move yet, he is changing his name to George W. Harper.

People who keep track of these sorts of things say they cannot recall any other time in this nation's history when a sitting Prime Minister changed his name. Instances of politicians switching from one party to another are too numerous to mention, but the Prime Minister has really broken ground here by adopting a different moniker.

It is said that Brian Mulroney briefly considered going by "Ronnie" at one point during his stint at 24 Sussex, but abandoned the idea when he considered the exorbitant costs of re-monogramming — from "BM" to "RM" — his handkerchiefs, cufflinks, underwear, socks, toilet paper, that sort of thing.

As for Stephen Harper going by George W. Harper, the change does not require parliamentary approval. It is, according to constitutional experts, a purely personal matter that does not have to be brought before the House of Commons.

That has some opposition critics howling.

"If he were just trying a different hairstyle, even growing a moustache, I could live with that," said interim Liberal leader Bill Graham. "But this is about more than facial hair. Voters elected a man named Stephen Harper, not George W. Harper."

This is the picture of this left wing journalist.

He hates Stephen Harper and Conservatives with a strong passion.

Sounds like a very bad case of whiney sour grapes. Harper is doing things the liberal PM's could'nt even move on.Liberals here in the US and Canada would trade national properity and defense for their political gain. It doesnt have to be a zero sum game but they make it that way. These people are the 5th column in our societies and if left unchecked they will destroy us from within.

Don't consider him a journalist. He's really a full time satirist. In any case, definitely a pinko if ever there was one.

ANYbody named "Linwood" must be a dummy, and their mother probably dresses them funny too.

This clod isn't even amusing. He makes Al Franken look like Bob Hope in his prime.

I think G.W. Harper has a rather catchy ring to it, I could buy a nonresident fishing license from such a man...lol

Actually, even he doesn't consider himself a journalist. His column is supposed to be "humour" but Gary Lautens he ain't.

Hey, I'm just happy that Harper won. I sat up half the night watching returns that night.

I'm not even Canadian, I just love to see the liberals take it in the ash, wherever they are...lol

Of course because Harper is so well liked by Canadians , the Liberal MSM will now begin personal attacks, based on the arcania of ridicule.

So we of Free Republic must ridicule such journalists.

Linwood Barclay is changing his name to Linwood Helen Thomas Barclay and much to his editorial boards surprise, will take leave from his work to undergo a sex change in California. Take your time Woody!

Not that I would sanction his journalism, but perhaps his stay in California ,where he has requested that the upgrade to Helen Thomas style pendulous breasts also contain the gray matter of brain tissue ,which his head so obviously lacks at present.

Whats it like Linwood to be doing your thinking with your ta-tas instead of that small reptilian brain you usually employ? Some change huh?

What wonderful ideas you have, nya na Na Na na! Harper is changing his name to Geoerge W. ( LOL)

Your imagination is perfectly underwhelming old chap!

Obviously Linwood Helen Thomas Barclay thinks that a Pulitzer lies in his ( its) future. Or is it a Pultitzer?

I have an idea: let's call all US red state conservatives from places likeTexas's Houston, San Antonio, rural Michigan's Grand Rapids, Oklahoma, and even Salt Lake City's conservatives to swarm Toronto as legal immigrants. With 2 million Red state Americans in Torana it will instantly redden Toronto.

And don't forget the Utah Mormons have at least 5 children per family - no matter how many Third World immigrants the Liberals import to Toronto, they can't compensate these red state children. That means the reddening of Toronto will be irreversible LOL.

Seemingly, one or more of the legalist hacks whom the Liberals awarded Judgeships to will need to be called in to attempt to settle the dispute among the now 10 or more contenders currently vying for that party's leadership spot who similarly wish to adopt their mentor Lenin's "V.I." initials?

Then again, maybe they could all use them?
As there's so little real difference between the lot of them, it's not as if it would matter anyway.
