Allen will handle himself fine in primetime, hes a great charismatic speaker and almost everyone who sees him in person will agree. Problem is with people like you is that you have your predispositions toward him and don't like him so you only see what you want to see. Stay blind to the truth, Your candidates (RINOS) have no chance of beating ALlen when it comes to the issues so you take personal shots at him in hopes of dragging him down. Get used to the fact that George Allen will be the nominee in 2008 and he will clean hillary's clock.

That page i pasted is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to romney, try watching his 1996 debate with ted kennedy, he comes off as a huge flaming rino. Even rush on his tv show back then ripped romney to shreds over it.

Rudy is even more of a rino than romney and he knows he'll get eaten alive in a republican primary. Were not nominating a pro gay, pro illegal, pro gay, pro gun control, adultering northeastern republican.

We shall see in due time how Allen does in prime time. I think he will collapse early, based on what I have seen on him on the tube, and in print. But heck, he might prove to be fast learner. But I strongly doubt it. He just doesn't have the necessaries in my opinion, but with more data points as time goes by, I might change my mind. Anything is possible. And by the way, my handicapping has nothing to do with my personal preferences. That is one thing; predictions are another.

I also oppose George Allen, my friend, but surely not for the same reasons as Torie.

He's a pig in a poke.

Conservatives better dig REAL deep before they buy in to an Allen candidacy.

He's functionally pro-choice.

He believes first trimester abortions 'up to the commencement of brainwaves' are a-okay.

One prominent Republican pro-life organization has him on record as being for abortion 'up to viability', and in favor of aborting babies for 'fetal abnormality'.

He's got the Bush deceptive weasel-words on the borders down cold (You know, the ones with no credibility?)...and the top Open Borders lobbyists who work for the US Chamber of Commerce on his team.

Might be a good idea to look real close on fetal stem cells and the gay agenda, too...

If you hated the ways in which Bush was squishy, you'll be appalled at what we'd get with an Allen presidency.

One more thing: I've 'seen him in person', and I'm not in the least impressed. Quite the contrary.

The more I read about Allen the more I think he will be the man.
Romney - I don't see it. I like the guy, I live in Boston and have followed his career but I just don't see it.
