I doubt they could afford the trip. I read an expo about the KKK a year or so ago. They only have about 20-25 real members, no money and nobody is joining up. The most overhyped "organization" in America right now.

The democrats cut off their funding of the Klan, that's why they are no longer a threat.

The last time I saw any clan activity here in Atlanta was in 1987 in Forsyth County just north of the City. About a dozen showed up on the back of flat bed truck to counter protest against the rally integration of Forsyth County (where they had had a sign at county line that said "N*gger, don't let the sun go down on you in Forsyth County).

They were largely ignored in favor of more media savy groups like the Committee to Keep Forsyth White.

BTW, I was there with an elderly black gentleman who had marched at Selma. I'm sure I outweighed him by a 100 pounds but he said "we're gonna link arms and if you get hit in the head with a brick I'm gonna keep you on your feet no matter what and you've got to do the same for me." The sincerity in his voice told me it must have been awful for him in the old days.
