Unless May 1 falls on the weekend and it is a normal day off, there is NO excuse to take off a day meant to celebrate communism. Even the North American labor unions have rejected that day (except for fringe commie elements) and they have a more reasonable Labor Day...

Just for the record, May Day predates Communism. In Sweden, folks celebrated the coming of spring with dancing around the May Pole long before the Bolshevik Revolution.

Not disagreeing with any of your sentiments...just clearing the record.

I plan to find out any Mexican restaurants in town that are closed today, and bidding them all farewell if they are.

Knowing full well the socialist connection to May 1 and the original May Day celebrations (for spring) I saw somewhere that May 1 is internationally considered Labor Day. The dupes and leftist stooges either don't realize America does not utilize an 'international' day to celebrate the working day or they are more than happy to expose their socialist selves. America recognizes a day that recognizes working American citizens.
