Reinstallation might not suffice in this case. The hard drive has so many damaged sectors, it should probably just be removed and a sledgehammer taken to it.

I believe one of them is from Mass, and another from West Va. And there's the rub. It's always the "other" guy's Congresscritter that has to go. The people in MA and WV like those old birds, cuz they bring home the bacon.

If we're going to reinstall congress, can I "boot" a couple of them?

It's funny, but when someone gets fired from their job in this country, they don't continue to receive a paycheck for life.
That is unless you are an elected congressman or senator.
It's time to knock em down from the high horses they think they sit.

Politicians and baby diapers should be changed frequently ... and for the same reason.
Not sure who authored this small nugget of wisdom but it's right on target.

I would prohibit a candidate from taking campaign donations from outside their district.Hello Hillary ... anybody out there?

I've suggested that for years, in the form of term limits at all levels and making members of the house and senate subject to all the laws that they pass.

Politicians and baby diapers should be changed frequently ... and for the same reason. Corollary (RWR, I think): A government is like a baby - an alimentary canal with an almost insatiable appetite and one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.

What is truly sad is that the brilliance exhibited by the Founding Fathers in our Constitution has been turned over to people with lesser abilities whose expectations of the average American couldn't be lower.
I like the idea of re-installing Congress. In the early - mid 90s, somebody came up with the idea to Throw the Rascals Out (THRO) - IOW, re-install Congress. Unfortunately, what they discovered was that most Americans believed that THEIR Congresscritter was ok, it was EVERYONE ELSE'S Congresscritter that needed to be tossed. So, the idea went nowhere.
We desperately need to get rid of career politicians, CFR and a bazillion different rules and laws that allow these slimey people to sneak all kinds of things through Congress without us knowing about it until it's too late.
Until we agree that OUR Congresscritter is as much the problem as everyone elses Congresscritter, this idea is going to remain on the launch pad.

...our Constitution has been turned over to people with lesser abilities...At any time we turn to C-Span we can see these room-temperature IQ simpletons posturing and emoting like people found in asylums.
Only a handful are worth anything while the rest are utterly worthless, useless and a constant threat to the USA!

BRITISH CAPTURE AND BURN WASHINGTON
We need our minutemen to seal off all entrances to Congress, not to have the UK burn down the city.
Oh well, come to think of it, we could start over again.
