Careful, HR guy... resident aliens and visa holders have the same employment rights as citizens. Illegals are a different matter entirely.

Hey,
This afternoon, I have a mid-term on all these employment laws. I am becoming very well-versed in who's legal and who's not AND who is getting worker visas and who's not.
Enough is enough - all laws must be followed.

Another HR person here : ) Spoke to hubby and he said that all of the Mexican workers on his job (commercial electrical construction) failed to show up today and didn't bother to call in. He said his boss won't fire them, as they have a "right" to protest. I called "BS", Texas is an "at-will" state, they don't have a "right" to be employed. It just disheartens me that employers are putting up with this crap.
