I really think we CAN do something now, and recover from this mess. But I think many people looking for a cause are pickign the wrong target. Tossing the Republicans out instead of fighting them to do the right thing is playing right into the hands of the libs; anyone who thinks they will do better is delusional. And yes, they CAN do a whole lot worse; I live in Massachusetts where people basically want to PAY for illegals and their kids....ack, I don't want to get into that tonight, not again...but kicking 'em out in November will deliver power to folks who wanna do just that. I can see Harry Reid on election night telling those "who helped make this great victory" that the dems "will not forget you," and millions of illegals--who are calling for Bush's impeachment--cheering.

How long will you cling to the sinking ship? Why NOT toss out Republicans who won't do anything to put us back on course? By continuing to vote for politicians who allow 'rights' to people who crashed the gate, we are 'rewarding' wrong behavior just as they are rewarding the wrong behavior of the gate crashers.

Did any of your ancestors or family members fight in America's War for Independence? (Remember 'No Taxation Without Representation!' that was one part of it?) Do you have any mementos you could give to me to trample upon? That's what you're permitting when you vote for those who would give amnesty to invaders. The honor of our forefathers having fought hard for freedom from oppression is worth nothing if America is reduced to the socialism that is entering through the open borders with these so-called 'immigrants'. They are robbing us of our heritage!

The correct idea is to kick out those Republicans that support "amnesty for illegals" and open borders. If that results in the Democrats getting control of the House for a term or two, then so be it. The NEXT batch of Republicans will know better than to support that crap.

I don't blame it on the Republicans or even Reagan.

I think that we should just drop the amnesty issue and what to do about those already in the country until the border is controlled.

Around here they are giving ranchers and farmers radios so they can call the BP if they see illegals. I don't get up early in the am but I do walk in the desert and there are veritable highways through the dirt. They walk through the middle of our fields and they leave their backpacks and water bottles strewn across the whole landscape.

The coyote business is booming and I understand that the illegals have to pay upwards of $2000 to get a ride. The have cell phones and pamphlets with instructions on how to make the journey and what to do when they get here.

If I remember correctly, Bush Sr wanted a fence, they built a prototype on a section of the El Paso border but then the libs screamed and it was stopped.
