Breaking on KDKA Radio News in Pittsburgh.
A top Al Qeada fugitive is reported to have been captured by Pakistani forces. Reports claim he will be turned over to US authorities ASAP.
Sorry I do't have more...I'm at work and trying to get the original sources...The story was delivered with a "wink, wink - nudge, nudge"
Probably nothing but then again....

I did a google search on "wink wink-nudge nudge" and nothing yet. I'll keep my eyes open.
Just made me think....just what are we going to do with Bin Laden or the others when we get them? A firing squad would not be out of the question.
Wake me when they capture Bin Laden.
"Mustafa Setmarian Nasar, a Syrian who also holds Spanish citizenship, was captured during a November 2005 sting in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta in which a gunfight broke out and a person was killed, said the American official, who declined to be identified further because of the sensitivity of the issue.
The official, who spoke to The Associated Press late last week, said Nasar, who is also known as Abu Musab al-Suri, may now be in U.S. custody but did not specify where. He declined to comment further."
I went to Drudge (hope I don't get a million viruses) and got this off the AP Breaking link.
It seems the story is he's being, or has been, handed over to the US, as he's been in custody a while.
The story further states he had a $5 million dollar bounty on his head.
So good, another one for Gitmo, imho.
"Zarqawi is believed to have traveled through Iran to Iraq in May and June of 2002 for medical treatment following the collapse of Al Qaeda operations in Afghanistan.
Administration sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said he had his leg amputated."
Hopefully the leg was amputated just below the chin.
he was then awarded amnesty, given the nations highest honors, then sold to the highest bidder
OUTSTANDING! Keep up the good Hunt...
FOXNEWS Just reported it.
I rpobably shouldn't have pulled the trigger so fast either but the info I got on my newswire (MetroSource - A day Late and a Buck Short on all the news that irrelevant) was basically what I posted here. When I heard KD run with it I figured something might be up.

Gangrene would work for me.
...just what are we going to do with Bin Laden or the others when we get them?"
Whack them then take pictures of their bullet-riddled corpses.
That story is from 2003.
Also found it on Forbes and ABC.

That is a 3 year old link!!
You left out the code phrase that unlocks the secret source: "You're a man of the world, eh?"
Here's the Fox News link:

"Major Al Qaeda Leader Arrested in Pakistan May be in U.S."
Tuesday, May 02, 2006
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "KABUL, Afghanistan A top Al Qaeda leader whose links stretch from Afghan terror training camps to extremist networks operating throughout Europe has been detained in neighboring Pakistan and possibly handed over to American authorities, according to a U.S. law enforcement official.
Mustafa Setmarian Nasar, a Syrian who also holds Spanish citizenship, was captured in a November 2005 sting in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta that left one person dead, said the American official, who declined to be identified further because the matter is sensitive.
The official, who spoke to The Associated Press late last week, said Nasar, who is also known as Abu Musab al-Suri, may now be in U.S. custody but did not specify where. He declined to comment further."
"Wake me when they capture Bin Laden."
Do you not realize that many people have given up their lives while going after al-Qaeda members, large and small?
Do you not realize that many more people are daily risking their lives to capture or kill OBL or Zawahiri or the people who might lead us to them?
Do you not realize that this capture may lead to OBL?
How can anyone be so blase about such news? I implore you to consider more the possible implications of this news. All of us want OBL out of action (dead or alive), but the struggle is more than just about him.
