That's not good. They will probably have to use foam

They are going to try landing on 12,000 ft runway after burning more fuel

The plane should land safely - we all hope.

I doubt a jungle jet like the Embraer 145 has the ability to dump fuel - so it might circle for a bit if it is full of fuel.

Where was it expected to fly from Houston?

Yes, I think your right.

The are foaming the runway now. The plane has been burning fuel for 1.5 hours now.

Fernandez sounds a bit frazzled. Referred to as a "Continental Express" flight, then he says he doesn't know what airline it is.

BTW, the Embraer 145 is a mini-jet. A 12,000 ft runway SHOULD be long enough for it.

I believe this is the type plane. . .

Both tires are gone from the left gear.

The flight crews are well trained to handle these emergencies. Although there is no rubber on the landing gear, the strut is designed to take a landing without the tires. I wish them well......

Winds are pretty strong out there so saved off landing once. No hurry, should have plenty of fuel.
