"My image might be better out there ... if I spent more time as a public figure trying to improve my image, but that's not why I'm here," Cheney said.I love this guy.

I think the MSM need to realise this is NOT a popularity contest.

They'll lose a few seats but they will retain control of both Houses; trust me on this one. If I'm wrong, remind me on November 8th that I was wrong.

It's not like Bush and Cheney have been busy needlepointing for the last 5 years either. Regarding immigration and the borders, I'd prefer they were needlepointing. They'd do less harm.

The MSM never reflects true public opinion or the opinion of those who really vote .

By the way, however inadvertant, you made me think of a new tagline.

Cheney does Popeye:
I ams what I ams.

Because the MSM says so. If the polls were conducted, they would probably show that 70% or more of these respondents couldn't pick him out of a series of photographs. I wish he was more popular, I think he would be an awesome president.

You're exactly right. The 'Rats and their MSM allies have demonized both Bush and Cheney since well before they took office. The non-stop barrage from the alphabet channels is a very powerful force. I'm amazed by the number of people who actually believe the news spin they see on such outlets and who actually believe what they read in the papers. And, Cheney admits that he's done nothing to counter these attacks.
Perhaps we're better off that this administration hasn't bothered to play the PR game. Look at how much effort Clinton spent on daily PR spin and constant campaigning just to stay in office, and look at what that left us open to in terms of a major economic recession and unprecidented terrorist attacks. However, I wouldn't object to some effort being expended on PR. It's at the point where all someone on the left has to do to win (in his weak mind) a political argument is to utter code words or phrases like "Halliburton" or "oil" or "Bush lied."
