Top Dem denies she played the race card

A leading African-American Democrat last night denied she invoked race in a fight between New Hampshire and the Democratic National Committee in a commentary she wrote for a Capitol Hill newspaper.

Veteran party strategist Donna Brazile wrote in Roll Call that potential candidates who back the Granite State’s effort to preserve its primary’s traditional role are insensitive to the concerns of minority voters in other regions of the country.

She referred to voters in mostly white New Hampshire and Iowa as “the privileged few.”

How many monuments are there from the black community that pay homage and give thanks to those who died to catch them up to speed with the U.S. Constitution?

So it is an universally held opinion on this board that Civil War was primarily about slavery? That Lincoln was a hero for saving the Union and freeing the slaves?

It's hard to express gratitude over the Union freeing the slaves when one side you hear that blacks should be grateful that Lincoln and the Union freed the slaves and other you hear that slavery has nothing to do with the war.
