It is funny how much of Dune is cut from the cloth of islam and the ME (except that Herbert gave it a nobility that doesn't exist).

Herbert's character of "Paul' was also conflicted over the visions he saw if he decided to extract the revenge he sought over his Father's murder: He saw the Jihad he would release and was disturbed by it. It's what made the storyline so 'dark'.

The clowns we're dealing with welcome it.
