Good morning.
"We've been preparing for months, for anything headed our way. Be it disease or terrorism attack."

I've prepped since the Seventies and my family is as ready as they can be. Our house, when it is finished in July will provide comfortable shelter, with power and a good water source for the entire clan.

The rub is the various medications I take to stay alive. The next time I see my cardiologist I will try to talk him into a prescription for a six month supply and fill it only if the flu mutates and the pandemic begins. I place my faith in the FreeRepublic to give me enough warning. If the flu is a bust I'll keep the prescription for my great-grandkid's amusement after I'm gone.

The part of the bug I don't like is the near 50% mortality rate for those who get it.

Hello.

The rub is the various medications I take to stay alive.

That's problem in our home as well. I've been reading up on various food, vitamins and minerals that can be taken in times where there is no way to get your medicine. Many Dr's will give you a 3-6 month supply of prescriptions, you just have to find them.

Our house, when it is finished in July will provide comfortable shelter, with power and a good water source for the entire clan.

My hubby has been doing a lot of remodeling around our home. Just encase. Our guest bedroom looks like a grocery and pharmacy store with a bed in it.

The part of the bug I don't like is the near 50% mortality rate for those who get it.

I can't discuss this topic with my son, it freaks him out. Terrorist, Nuclear, Bio, anything like that we discuss freely. There's something about a potential pandemic though.......

For what it's worth, Colloidal Silver is marvelous against ALL kinds of viruses. I used to get violently (and I mean violently) ill with the flu or a very bad cold every December. I hated seeing December come around. Since I've been taking Colloidal silver, I don't even get sniffles.

Caveat: Take it per the bottle's instructions for a while, then cut back to one or two teaspoons a week (I take even less that that). The negative side effect? It can turn your skin permanently blue if you overdose on it. But using it cautiously, as you would ANY mineral or vitamin, is a great thing to do, and it's a good protection against this flu or any other.
