Chicago's highest-paid television news personality claims a contractor who designed and helped build her $3 million Lincoln Park mansion skimped on luxuries and did shoddy work because she is black.
Diann Burns, top news anchor at WBBM-Channel 2, recently filed suit against Chicago-based Metzler/Hull Development Corp., demanding at least $600,000 on claims of fraud and discrimination.
She and her husband, talent agent Marc Watts, list 84 complaints about their 5,752-square-foot home on North Burling Street -- from the angle of the garage floor not being right to chipped mahogany doors being installed

Let them keep using it. The more, the merrier. Remember Aesop's fable of the boy crying wolf too many times? After a while, nobody listened to him. The same thing will happen with the race card. So, by all means use it. Draw it like a pistol. One day, the users of the race card won't have that as a crutch to use. They will actually have to admit to their own failures and shortcomings.
I just can't imagine how weird it must feel to be so uncomfortable in your own skin. I mean to walk around and believe that you are a lesser person is just weird to me.
She should have hired Jesse's rainbow push to do the work, then they could have really ripped her off.Maybe Jesse can get a group to help her out, with pickets and stuff in her 'hood. In all seriousness though this really does get old. Remodeling a house is a large endeavor. I would expect a few minor imperfections if I had my house completely redone. I would simply ask that htey are corrected--I wouldn't just assume it is because of my skin color. Liberal indoctrination teaches the opposite though.

Maybe she should have hired the black panthers to build her house. If she's so sure those maen old white folks will rip her off, why didn't she hire a black contractor?

All the Dianns (2 "Ns, no "E") I know are bad news.
We had a pretty serious tornado rip our house to shreds back in the 80's, and I must say it was a real pain to go through all of the stuff you have to go through. We had really good insurance though, and they (Allstate) were very fair and helped us to hold the various contractors to the standards we expected. It took six months to rebuild, and another 2 months to get corrections done (things like the dishwasher wasn't hooked up properly, etc.) but it all worked out. We withheld 15% of the contracted price to be sure it was finished properly, and told the contractors about it up front. They understood and acted accordingly.
Be interesting to see this argued in front of a jury.
