Well, your definition of puerile isn't one commonly--or even ever--used.

And, sir or madame, I do not lie. I am wrong, sometimes, but I do not lie. You--and Mr. Bush--are the liars.

I see a lot of RINOs whining on this thread.

Who made you arbiter of who is a Republican or not?

I for one think the combination of CFR, amnesty for illegals, Harriet Meiers, a 2.7 trillion out-of-control budget, no vetoes, etc. as more than enough reason to believe Bush is having a disastrous effect on the Republican party.

You mean the President who has created and maintained a majority in both houses for the last three elections?

If that record creates a gang of malcontents, then ask Jorge why he is shooting himself in the foot.

The malcontents have always been around. Now you are shooting the man in the back and derisively calling him "Jorge".

The man has more integrity in his little finger than the border fanatics have in their whole bodies. The President made his positions on the border clear (it wasn't the border fanatic position BTW), yet somehow he was able to have more people vote for him than any other Presidential candidate in history only 18 months ago.

Either the border fanatics are such a miserably small minority of the population that they were unable to defeat the President in 2004, or they voted for the President hoping he would change after his final election. In either case it's their problem, not his.

Fanaticism and shrill voices do not help convince people to do something about the border. They just turn people off. The increasing emotionalism and rudeness of the border posse looks like the actions of people who know they are losing the argument. That's not good, because we do have a problem and we need rational discussion of it.

Instead, the shrill voices make it more likely that there will be no bill (meaning more illegal immigration), or a bill will get through the border posse will hate and the sober thinkers here won't much like either.

The root problem is that the border posse is misunderestimating the President and his supporters. The President is open to reason, and on occasion open to the right kind of pressure (see Harriet Miers). But if you just pee on his boots 24/7, then ask yourself if you think that's more likely to make him see it your way -- or more likely to p*ss him off?

Fine. Come up with a lie I've told.

Q: Why do the Haters here and on DU throw such childish temper tamtrums?

A: Because President Bush isn't doing what they want and doesn't pay attention to their nonsense.

Actually, no I didn't. I said the border bunnies group have been telling lies as I detailed above. I have not seen you make those claims here on this thread.

But let's face it, you strike me as a definite border bunny, and you probably have been spewing that crap. So I really don't care if your little feelings are hurt.

And since you said I said you were a liar, when I never said that, that makes you a liar, right? (I'm so confused.)

Gee, Jammer, I see that you're yet another in a long line of shy "class of '98 posters" that have had a sudden resurrection, if you will. Who could have ever guessed?!? ROTFL!

Well, we do agree on one thing: You ARE confused.

Yes, I said lies. It may have been simply ignorance at one time, but you border bunnies have been pummeled

It is reasonable to assume that you called me a liar with that sentence. Now, you may want to submit it to one of your buddies and get another opinion, but that would be as valid as accepting their opinions on WH press releases.

As for your next post, about being shy, it doesn't fly. I said--against strong, vehement, vicious responses--in 2002 and continually since then many times, that George Bush was going to destroy the conservative movement in America. He has, as many conservatives are beginning to see. And, yes, we do resent the enabling by those of you who mindlessly accept everything Dear Leader does.

"The last time that happened - Clinton became president - twice!"

The first time that happened, Lincoln became President and the Wigs were replaced by the Republicans. The Democrats remained out of power for 20 years. Stand by your values, or no one else will.

Ah, ah. Then by your stringent standard you're lying here. No ambiguity. And you're also doing a terrible job pretending you just yet another concerned conservative. ROTFL!

Is there anything you think the WH has done that warrants any criticism.

CFR, excessive spending, Expansion of Medicare for Drugs, Harriet Miers Nomination, Steel tariffs, failure to shoot Jihad Johnny Lindh as a traitor in Afghanistan, poor communications generally, lack of defense to the ridiculous charges that Katrina and the aftermath was the fault of the WH, too much smirking, clumsy handling of the border issue -- that enough for now?

I have no problem with criticism of the President or the White House. Childish name-calling ("RINO") and beating the same position to death on every thread is not only annoying -- it's counter-productive. PART of me for example would be happy to see the President go Sister Souljah on some nut commentator on the Right because the vitriol has just gone way over the top.

We laugh at DU because they are for the most part a bunch of loonies with a tenuous grip (at best) on political reality. I laugh at some of the moonbats here who get loony also -- but it's really not so funny. We DO NOT EVER want FR to look like DU. We are better than that -- aren't we?

Respect. That's really all we need.

The reason the immigration debate is so volatile is that many people see it literally in their face every day of the week, every time they go shopping, every walk they go on, every time they go out in public and it seems like things are out of control.

When idiotic statements are made by our "leaders" that this is good for us, it should be no wonder most Americans are disgusted.

you want a tough on defense Rhino or a democrat?

Would that be the tough on defense rino that fully suppoorts the sullivan act outlawing gun ownership unless your last name is trump or some other rich politically connected goverment @$$ kisser? It doesnt matter how gung ho you are on the war on terror if you support the revocation of the second and first amendment you are weak on defense. You can vote for him of you want i would much rather keep that pos in new york where he can hob knob with the other cross dressing liberals and get a dem in the WH because if by some miracle the repubs keep control of the house and senate most of the dems big goverment crap will be blocked. If rudy gets in the repubs will push through all of his liberal agenda out of party loyalty no thank you 5 years of this shiite is enough for me.

On Rudy's PAC - and she's only committed thru the November elections.

Now, does this also impact his presidential aspirations? Certainly. But at least read the article before bashing the guy.

If that record creates a gang of malcontents, then ask Jorge why he is shooting himself in the foot.

I'm not going to comment other than noting that you are blaming someone else for your own bad behavior.

That stands by itself as a reason not to respect you, nor the rest of your now self-admitted 'gang of malcontents.' You will not hold yourself responsible for what you do. You have to blame someone else.

President Bush has done scores of things over the past 5 plus years to gain the respect of good, solid conservatives. He has mine, and no thug-like behavior on the part of you or your buddies will take that away.......nor will it from ANY thinking person. All your behavior does is drive good conservatives away because they don't want anything to do with what you've been doing around here.

The President is an honorable, strong, moral leader. Your own words blaming him for your personal shortcomings prove that you are not in his league.

Rudy is raising a ton of money for Iowa's republican candidates including our candidate for Gov. It would be nice to have that office back in Republican hands.

I'm amazed at how the immigration issue brought up by the MSM has completely turned everyone

It's part of Dean's strategy. Bring up issues that will split the easily manipulated Republican base.

The anti-abortion Republican crowd are suckers and play right into his game.
