Unfortunately, we were naive back during CFR and gave Bush the benefit of the doubt; perhaps we could have saved him from that fiasco. He no longer gets a free ride, that's why anti-illegal furror is so great, Bush cannot be trusted to do the right thing. The lack of vetoes also has weakened his hand. Once your street credibility is gone, it is mighty tough to get back, and there is no one to blame but Bush himself.
Don't sell yourself short. You deserve credit, too!
