Jimmy Carter's Middle East mess
World Net Daily ^ | May 5, 2006 | Melanie Morgan

Posted on 05/05/2006 6:54:27 AM PDT by markedman

There's a raging battle going on right now for the future of the Middle East and one man is doing his dead-level best to undermine our security needs and objectives in this volatile region.

What is most scary of all is that man will cost American lives as a result of his foolish and dangerous actions.

Yes, that one man is Jimmy Carter, and it's time to stop him.

Specifically, the Congress of the United States (as the people's representative) must issue a resolution of censure against Jimmy Carter.

Hurting America over and over

More than 25 years after we thought we had relegated him to slinging a hammer and nail for poor people, he's back, meddling in international affairs.

Jimmy Carter has become increasingly consumed with vengeful determination to hurt this administration while it is trying to bring stability to some of the most critical regions around the globe.

Melanie has penned a critical article that finally calls Jimmy Carter to account for the quarter century of mayhem that America's most failed president has visited upon the citizens of this country and the world at large.

And look who's trying to closely emulate him...Bubba. I wish they'd both just shut up and retire to some isolated beach somewhere.

....one man is doing his dead-level best to undermine our security needs and objectives in this volatile region.

And he's been at it for almost 30 years.

It's time to stop renewing this guy's passport. Let him go back and grow his peanuts.

Actually, we should just revoke it while he's on a visit to one of his communist pals; that way, he can stay there.

If he had done his job as POTUS 9-11 would never have happened. And if Bubba had paid closer attention and done his job also, the first attack would not have happened either. I will always blame them for the WTC attacks.

Hugging Chavez was a total act of treason as well. A pox upon them.

She says there will be a national TV advertising campaign calling upon the Congress of the United States to issue a resolution of censure against Jimmy Carter.

"If he had done his job as POTUS 9-11 would never have happened."

Truer words were never spoken. I was in the Gulf of Oman in November in 1979 when Carter wimped on us. His inaction is still a sore point for many old ship mates of mine. He should have been impeached for cowardice in the face of the enemy.

It would be nice if the security detail assigned to him(paid by our tax dollars) mysteriously became detached from him on one of his 'humanitarian' visits.

"When Jimmy Carter piously backed away from the Shah's regime in Iran, as Islamic revolutionaries were rioting in the streets, he sentenced the world to a pandemic of Islamic extremist violence for decades to come."

Many of us here have been pointing this out for some time now. We tend to forget what happens when the USA hires a weak president. This happened also in the administrations before our civil war.

I think this is the foremost reason why it will be disastrous if we elect Hillary Clinton.

He may also have played a role in helping JF Kerry obtain an Honorable Discharge from the US Navy. It does not get any better than that.

I agree. How the hell did he get elected. Clearly because the alternative was a republican buffoon. What he did to the Shah and the people of Iran was terrible. Iran was one of the wealthiest and strongest nations in the world then. It was loaning money to Great Britain. It kept Iraq and others in check. I think in time the Shah would have moved to democracy. Carter betrayed him to his face along with his Sec of State.. Despicable and we're paying the price for it now.

Morgan and other pundits, while being correct in talking about "our security needs and vital objectives in the Middle East," seldom come right out and say what those needs and objectives are.

They are not to "spread democracy" around the world. Let's be frank; our security needs and objectives in the Middle East revolve around maintaining the flow of oil to the industrial world.

That's it. Nothing complicated about it. America's energy dependence on Middle Eastern oil allows foreign oil producing nations to jerk America around like a puppet on a string.

It doesn't have to be. Consumers are also voters. In that dual capacity we can control gas prices. Two major moves would insure energy independence and lower gas prices.

1. Vote out of office politicians who are preventing the U.S. from being energy independent. Even the hint that we are beginning to take steps to become energy independent of the Middle East would cause an immediate drop in world oil prices.

2. Cut back a tiny bit on gas consumption. It's not how much gas per mile your car uses but how much you drive that counts. Buy a smaller car. Vacation at home.

3. Remember that oil producing countries are not diverse. They have one source and one source only of dollars and that source is oil. Without oil money these Third World countries would go back to the Fourth World.

It’s Time to Censure Former President Jimmy Carter

Since leaving office, President Jimmy Carter has repeatedly undermined U.S. foreign policy, criticized the missions of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, as well as embracing known terrorists and terrorist organizations.

This website contains extensive documentation of the offenses described above that you can read for yourself here.

What is Censure?

The Legal Information Institute defines a congressional censure as, “a process of Congressional reprimand--the political equivalent of a strongly-worded letter.”
