CNN reports Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) will hold a press conference today at 3 p.m. in Washington, D.C. to discuss his recent traffic incident on Capitol Hill.

He admitted to having a problem and is going to seek help

And we should all give him a standing ovation for admitting his problem and support him for seeking help.... barf. No one held a gun to his head to pop pills or whatever. It's a disease!!! No, it's weak willed and lack of fortitude. Ah ha! FNC just said he had his wits about him to pull the get out of jail card - I'm on my way to vote in congress, blah, blah, blah. Yep, that just blew his little memory lapse.

LOL. Major Garrett is still ranting about this, says he could have said this yesterday. says it is an artful announcement. Garrett ain't buying it. I gather he thinks its a little too little a little too late. Said Kennedy has labeled himself a "victim" of presription drugs and asking for understanding as he fights his addiction, yada yada yada.

Garrett basically said DNC or similar pushed him to make the announcement so Kennedy can buy his way out of it by going to Mayo Clinic while you or I would face a DWI first.

Kennedy is a RAT..however, I'm seeing nothing but BS here. Rush and Kennedy are BOTH drug addicts. Yet, Rush gets the benefit of doubt?

Don't know if you heard Rush today, but he was expressing that Kennedy needed to get help and how long was his family going to let him go on without help. Seems to me that he understood what the problem was.

Can you point me to any sympathetic statement Patches made about Rush's problem?

I must say the media is handling this with respect for Kennedy. Don't you wish they reported with the same when reporting on a Rep. that said .......

My opinion of Pat Kennedy's is he did not take responsibility for his actions. He said he is a victim.

I would also think double dosing on sleep drugs would put you on your tail. But what do I know.
