That's good to hear. I called him this morning (I sent money by PayPal) to let him but had to leave a voice mail. I hope he got it.

I Sure hope that they are already in Abilene. They need to hunker down for the rain cloud coming their way out of the west, towards Abilene.

They can expect heavy rain, high winds, hail and possible tornado.

Too bad they can't all camp out on Bush's ranch in Crawford...

My bad. I forgot to call the White House and wangle an invite for them!!

I don't think Lyman bargained on a tornado. Why could't a tornado hit when Cindy Sheehan was in the area.

This is an excellent article, Ron Doggie, and I made a point of telling The Spirit about it this morning. It's a darn fair piece.

Here are a couple of (better) photos from the Los Angeles send-off:

The top two are Minuteman Founder Jim Gilchrist
and the bottom photo is a caravaner placing a huge American flag on the side of his RV.

If they are still on the road, they need to either beat storm or wait it out. It is about 1.5 counties wide. You can't drive through golf balls or baseballs.

Lyman said last night they had "few hundred" supporters in ABQ. I'd say that's darned good.

We'll see what he says on the after-report tonight. I'll be sure to ask him your question...

Thanks, I was hoping they would have a huge turn out along the border states.

I really misnamed this thread...

The rally was rained out. There was hail in the area and a tornado warning.

However, our hero seems in good spirits and appreciates all the support and encouragement from FReepers.

Tomorrow: Crawford!

It's all in vain...there's too much rain...deep in the heart of Texas
The tornado was set to blow...deep in the heart of Texas
They're scared of hail...they had to bail...deep in the heart of Texas
The Crawford run has now begun...deep in the heart of Texas

Ping to the D.C. Chapter.

They arrive sometime next Friday in D.C.

I do not know what is planned, but I have an all day business type seminar Friday and will only be able to get to the Walter Reed FReep.

Of course the D.C. Chapter will welcome any one from the Minuteman Project Caravan to attend our WR FReep, Friday, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

I was extremely dissapointed last night.

I'm ashamed to say that here in the 2nd most conservative city in Texas, there were only maybe 12 cars that showed up to greet the caravan. One guy had driven in all the way from Lubbock. Three news media vehicles were there. While I was waiting for the caravan, baseball sized hail was demolishing my home! Windows were broken, new vinyl siding was destroyed. Not a plesant sight when I got home!
But hey, at least my pickup was spared because I was there instead of home.
I tell myself that the only reason no more supporters showed up was because of the weather. But I fear that it may be we have become a nation of indifferent apathetic drones.
Regards

May there'll be some good citizens of the South that'll help 'em out with gas money along with room and board...
