There goes the leakers again. Sure wish somebody had the mind and spine to tell us what is really going on, instead of this continuous muddying of the water.

........the ability to bring much needed harmony within the ranks."Yep, got to have that harmony. I think it's in the CIA Employee's Contract that they have a right "to not be offended".
Jeez, what is this country coming to.

Dana was on Washington Week tonight emphasizing how Goss was not nice enough to the lifers. He did not realize the importance of "cultivating" relationships... in other words, he stepped on toes and expected people to do their jobs.

It's CIA so not sure how much truth we really are going to get. Of course Pincus and Priest must have used the agents who voted for Kerry for this article. And of course Rand Beers.

I am really disappointed in Bush.
But John D Rockefeller IV performed up to his usual crappy standards. He will shortly leak it all.

I smell a phony story here. If Bush forced him out, why the warm sendoff? I dont recall Paul O'Neill getting that.
Moreover, the tumultwas a sign of Goss' effectiveness at rooting out the troublemakers. Stuck pigs squeal.

Don't deal with the problem. Just fire the guy in charge.

While we never know for sure what happens within the CIA, I hope and pray that Goss's tenure was short because he was sent in with one mission: to get some scalps. Once said scalps were gotten, Goss could safely be replaced by someone to rebuild the agency.
Let's hope the pres picks a good soldier for the next CIA head.

Why isn't that asshat behind bars somewhere? Sandy Berger should be fluffing his damned pillow every night in the same cell.

LOL...did the mods force you to change the author's and source name???
You had it right the first time~~~
I couldn't believe it today...when right after the announcement...MSNBC had on Dana Priest as their "expert"~
Well, duh, I guess she is the expert, after all she has been told everything that is going on over there by Mary McCarthy...
Wonder if McCarthy also "found" something on Goss...

I wonder if James Baker had anything to do or say about Goss' leaving the CIA? Remember, Baker was called in to help out with Iraq matters recently.

Oh, yes. It's in the handbook, right before "Health Benefits". :))

I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering if perhaps the press and the leakers have mis-underestimated the situation.
Goss was specifically sent to crack heads, knowing it would be a short tenure, his sucessor then makes nice and rebuilds. Bad Cop - Good Cop routine on the CIA.
