Wow! This is news?

I think that the percentage of FReepers who are standing behind him because he is a Republican and thus "by definition" better than a Democrat is about 50%. The other 50% percent see what we that was the greatest and best opportunity of the last hundred years wasted.

Clinton, as much as I hate the man, was never afraid to use the veto pen. His point was simple "those who love me will love me, those who don't won't be anymore pissed off at me with this veto because they already hate me to the max."

It may be a good thing in GWB's favor that he wants to have all Americans like him. And he has always tried hard to do it that way. But there is no gentle way to conduct radical surgery.

And, God help me, that is what this country needs if we are going to continue as a country.

Yes, Republicans are hungry for a really strong, conservative leader.

I don't think this is a good thing. Reminds me of that Al Franken character.. Wanting to be universally liked is neurotic and self-defeating.
