Hillary Clinton: Too Much of a Clinton Democrat? (Daily Kos Whacko Sez Hillary "Too Conservative")
Boston Globe ^ | 05/07/2006 | Markos Moulitsas

Posted on 05/06/2006 6:33:29 AM PDT by KentTrappedInLiberalSeattle

H illary Clinton has a few problems if she wants to secure the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. She is a leader who fails to lead. She does not appear "electable." But most of all, Hillary has a Bill Clinton problem. (And no, it's not about that. )

Moving into 2008, Republicans will be fighting to shake off the legacy of the Bush years: the jobless recovery, the foreign misadventures, the nightmarish fiscal mismanagement, the Katrina mess, unimaginable corruption and an imperial presidency with little regard for the Constitution or the rule of law. Every Democratic contender will be offering change, but activists will be demanding the sort of change that can come only from outside the Beltway.

Hillary Clinton leads her Democratic rivals in the polls and in fundraising. Unfortunately, however, the New York senator is part of a failed Democratic Party establishment -- led by her husband -- that enabled the George W. Bush presidency and the Republican majorities, and all the havoc they have wreaked at home and abroad.

Geez, Marko, a bit histrionic aren't we?

Does the Leftist media really think conservatives are stupid enough to believe that Hellery is conservative about anything? These transparent attempts to make the witch more palatible are simply ludicrous.

I'm still trying to get passed Hillary's logic on "It's for the children"....and Planned Parenthood needs more money so they can make "killing the children" available to all.

But the netroots -- the far-flung collection of grassroots political activists organizing online -- proved to be a different world, one unencumbered by Washington's conventional wisdom. Even as the establishment mocked Dean and his supporters ("like a scene out of the 'Star Wars' cantina," laughed a rival campaign aide), his army of hyper-motivated supporters organized across all 50 states. This movement exploded onto the national scene when Dean began reporting dramatically higher fundraising numbers than his opponents. Had Kerry not lent himself millions to reach the Iowa caucuses, and had Dean not been so green a candidate, Dean probably would have been the nominee.

Dean lost, but the point was made. No longer would D.C. insiders impose their candidates on us without our input; those of us in the netroots could demand a say in our political fortunes.

How typical of a liberal to declare victory in the face of a rousing Defeat.

Excellent news.

Now there are two (Lieberman & Hillarity) that are "conservatives".

How can conservatives possibly lose in 2008?

She's been working so hard to have a Sister Souljah moment. Finally, someone noticed her efforts.

Of course, it was just Daily Kos and their happy band of 200,000 lunatics. Too bad for her noone in the middle class reads or cares about Daily Kos.

Despite thousands of hours of free publicity from he lapdogs in the media and now, Daily Kos, Americans still think she's a liberal. If she shakes the label for a while, we will pin it back on her with paid ads highlighting her voting record.

It's a millstone from which she cannot escape and it's the reason rat senators never win the presidency. They have to vote to appease the crazies in their party but those votes turn off normal people.

"And she remains surrounded by many of the old consultants who counsel meekness and caution. James Carville, the famed longtime adviser to the Clintons, told Newsweek last week, "The American people are going to be ready for an era of realism."

"Afraid to offend..."

Where does the Post get these nutcakes? Another Clinton apologist, a male Eleanor Clift.

The Democratic Party atrophied during his two terms, partly because of his fealty to his "third way" of politics, which neglected key parts of the progressive movement and reserved its outreach efforts for corporate and moneyed interests.

Bill Clinton admitted to governing by Third Way politics, a platform used by the Democratic Socialists of America; Hillary also champions the Third Way. Atrophied is an understatement, the DNC is so entangled in this progressive ideology, it is just so much flotsam and jetsam, just a memory of John Kennedy's America, a strong America that would yield to no one regardless of the failed military actions etc. Democrats are never going to defend their country and the Republic; they have capitulated to the small global wishes of a very corrupt United Nations etc., a world body that panders to the dictators and other oppressive governments of the globe. Hillary would only exacerbate the obvious problem as she seeks only power, not a Free Nation under the tenants of the United States Constitution. America would come in last in all issues under the Marxist Hillary Clinton...think Danger, Danger, Danger when you think of Hillary or Bill.

I don't think she was ever a commie. In the 1960s, when people her age were commies, she was a Goldwater Republican.

The article talks about all the money that Howard Dean reported getting from the grass-roots, but failed to mention that it mysteriously disappeared later on. My theory is that Howie and his guru Joe lied about their fund-raising and never got anywhere near the money they claimed. Pledges, perhaps, but money, no.

...today we regard Hillary Clinton's candidacy as anything but inevitable.

Stuff and nonsense!

"Netroots" don't vote in Democrat primaries, Democrats vote in Democrat primaries.

Get it?

Hillary will win the Dem primaries walking away.

She's got name recognition, and her tentacles run so deeply into the media- all of the media- that we will be treated to puff pieces of Hillary Rodham 24/7.

Consider also that any serious Dem contender may somehow discover the press heralding various "scandals" in their past. (Remember the FBI files?)

Hillary is the Democrat candidate for President. It's all over but the voting.

Tag Line Alpha

Democrats - - the party of blames, lies, accusations, and subversion. The once great party of Roosevelt now chooses Stalin.
