In 1998 her hubby was asked in Buffalo if his admin would give the country a tax cut. He replied, on camera, "we'd like to, but we don't think you'd spend it wisely". That statement, along with Shrillary's typifies the mindset of lib pols. The lib attitude towards taxes can be stated as follows: It's not your money, it's our money, and we'll dole it out to you and take it from you whenever we feel like it.
That doesn't make her a commie. If she supports the nationalization of the means of production, distribution, and exchange, then she's a commie. If she believes that religion is the opuim of the masses, then she's a commie. You're being a tad facile in your use of the term commie.
"But most of all, Hillary has a Bill Clinton problem."
Hillary has fat ankles and a big ass. But enough about Bill, her butt is pretty big too :)
How do they get away with statements like this in the Globe?
And then again, maybe not.
"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
--Hillary Clinton, addressing the party faithful at a Barbara Boxer "event" as reported by the AP on 6-28-04 and written by Beth Fouhy .
YOU should read animal farm.
She worked for Saul Alinsky.
She's a Commie.
I guess--from your silence--that you have seen the light and agree with us. She's a commie.
No, I had better things to do over the weekend. If you want to think she's a commie, that's fine with me. It's a free country. A more accurate description of her position would be (wife betrayed, sorry that's another topic) free market liberal, meaning that she essentially embraces free trade and minimum government intervention in the economy (e.g. no wage and price controls, reduced tariff regime, NAFTA, etc.) and is liberal on social issues such as abortion, welfare entitlements, etc.
Bush supported the Medicare prescription, which is an entitlement costing billions and a significant expansion of the welfare state. That makes him a commie in your book. The point is that no one is 100 percent idelogically pure, apart from nutcases and minor politicians who don't have to govern.
All that being said, I can't stand Hillary.
I know you're a good guy, it's just that the average New Zealander starts SO FAR over to the left that the recalibration to reality takes a long time. Understood.
I know what a commie is. You need to validate your argument by explaining to me why she is a commie and what your definition of commie is. My last post, which you somehow failed to understand, makes the simple and correct assertion that she is a free market liberal. If I understand you correctly, anyone who makes a statement or about about expanding the role of the state for the common good is a commie. According to your line of reasoning both Bush and Hillary are communists - he's expanded entitlements through medicare prescriptions and she has that stupid quote which she probably regrets. Hint: attacking me personally, which you came close to doing in your last post, does not validate your argument.
P.S. I really don't like Hillary! She reminds me of my ex-wife; shrill and mean.
it lives...
Do yourself a favor, spend the afternoon looking up "Hillary Healthcare".
No it doesn't. Wonder how effectively she has learned how to fool the people better since '94...
Absolutely Correct!
Irony, Irony, Irony.
Funny how the worm turns so often with KOS (depending on whether her highness is funding his website or not)
The only accomplishments he can site for BJ are Peace and Prosperity whatever that means. Peace other than that Bosnia thing. Prosperity which was the Cold War dividend from Ronald Reagan, then left in a Recession.
