They can't impeach the President. Impeachment means a trial and that would require presenting proof and evidence, none of which the Democrats have. If they were to attempt to do so, their lies regarding this President would quickly become apparent and a backlash might occur in the public.

No, the Democrats want investigations. With investigations, they can slowly leak half truths, myths, rumors and speculation that will give the impression of corruption without actualy presenting any actual facts. This they will drag this out for at least two years until it yields the desired result, a Democrat in the White House. They couldn't care less about the damage that this will do to the War on Terror/National Security or to the lives of those they investigate. They'll "fix it later" and besides, if their "solutions" don't work, they'll just blame George W. Bush.
