BOR needs to get out of the studio and tour...

When BOR was a local in Boston, I heard the camera crews hated to out on assignment with him. Now that he's national,
and on radio as well,...well, good luck to the crews, should he take your advice.

When Greta first started on FNC, I tuned in. She wasn't bad. Then that Lacey/Scott Peterson thing hit, and she became
unwatchable. At least to me. I guess it brings in the viewers, so everybody does the tabloidian show.

I used to listen to Radio Canada. They mentioned, a couple of years ago, that a Montreal-based true crime
paper/magazine was closing, since that's all that's on cable news nowadays.

I generally would tune in for the last half of Hume's show. I stopped because of the Bush-illegal alien
sycophants on the panel.

The change in my viewing correlates nicely with the decline in your graph.

Update: 7:03pm: An e-mailer says: "O'Reilly has had over two million people watching his show consecutively for almost a year? That's astounding. My question for you is, who has beaten O'Reilly in that 25-54 demo? Unitl somebody does, his lower #'s probably reflect less news than last year. He's still the undisputed king."

exactly

Yes, Levin and Ingraham are good. I watch very little of O'Reilly and Hannity on Fox. If they have a guest on that is of interest I may tune in and watch the cat fights.

Your post got me thinking again of these people. BO seems to have the same people on all the time - Sharpton, Geraldo, Newt come to mind though I have not seen Dick Morris on there for awhile. Before Tony Snow became the new press secretary, he was on there all the time also. Now, you will not see a guy like Wesley Clark on there but Col. Hunt is on there all the time. He'll talk to Colmes but never mentions Hannity. Hannity will have Col. North on but I have never seen Ollie on BO's show. The G Man can't stand him and vice versa but the G Man thinks the world of Rush. Every now and then, BO will take a shot at Rush but to my knowledge, Rush doesn't even acknowledge the existance of BO - which must piss him off! Every now and then, BO will have Laura Ingraham or Ann Coulter on but I get the feeling they are toying with him. My favorite moment is when Ann verbally b-slapped on his own program. Man, did he get upset. Back to my point - are most of these talk show hosts jealous and envious of each other? I listen to Hannity and Mark Levin. I get the impression I could get along with someone like Levin but could not stand to be around Hannity. Yesterday, when interviewing Mary Cheney, I thought he was low class joking in her face about her father shooting someone and then asking her questions about her sexuality. Yet, he does wonderful things for the troops and helps them out. He and Col. North -whom I would like to have backing me up anytime - seem to get along great. I guess it is just different personalities.

I am with you. I like his program but do not watch it as much as I use to. I think his crusade for protecting children against these monsters is admirable. I have heard blacks call him a racist yet he took up the cause of that little girl in Florida several years ago when no other network would touch it. And I like what he did concerning that Muslim college professor in Florida. I think his shining a light on that cockroach is one of the reasons that professor is behind bars.

Your "helpful hint" is pretty funny! How do you account for someone like Col. David Hunt appearing on his show all the time.

I like Brit's program but I like to offer a theory. At times, Brit's program gives me the impression of being too much on the inside. Case in point - Porter Goss resigning. Now, I read on FR sometime last week about the lobbying scandel, card games, prostitutes, etc. That is just now starting to come out. Yet, I got the feeling with Brit on Sundays program that he knew about it but was not going to say anything about it just yet. Hell, if you got the story, break it! Of his panel, the only ones I enjoy listening to now are Charles Krauthammer and Bill Samon. Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol come off as smary, Juan is a complete idiot, Mort is wishy-washy, and the horse face woman constantly has a deer in the headlights look as if she has no idea what anyone is talking about and this is the first time she heard it mentioned.

I think one of the reasons FNC does so well is the people on the program - whether BO, H&C, Greta, Brit, etc. - seem to actually enjoy what they are doing. The other programs I get the impression they all rather be somewhere else and it shows. I agree with Roger Ailes - he could put on a dead skunk and beat these people.

That's because he is just ignorant not smarmy. You don't feel you need to take a bath after watching him.

LOL! That must be it.

The wife stopped watching Hannity when he was misrepresenting the ports issue which didn't really break my heart. I did watch it a few times with her (very few) and have to say that on at least one of those occasions was left with the thought that if I could have coffee with either one of them I'd rather have it with Alan Colmes...even if he looks like a bad mortician job.

About the only thing I like about Hannity now is hiw willingness to help the troops and promote them. Other than that, he reminds me of the B list stars of the 50's, smary and kissy face. His endless self-promotion, his inability to listen to what people are saying - listeners and guests. His talking tough on issues but than sucking up of McCain, Lieberman, et al. Other than that, he's okay. 8-)

Yes. Bill has become an icon of his own mind. His war against child molesters is ok but that brunette, Wendy is a raving maniac. To her, all men are rapists and child molesters and by definition, GUILTY!

It's going to be hard. But you have to realize that you don't have a LIFE. All this obsessionary substitute for thought is focused on a world that really does not exist.

This passing parade of "Infotainment Personalities" is an illusion, a moving cavalcade of sensationalitic National Inquirer clap trap that passes for people like you as socio-political theater.

It's all bullsh**.

You gotta get outdoors.

Go up the street to your church and volunteer to help folks who need help. With your wonderful Navy career and service to our country you will be welcomed heartily.

Turn off the boob tube, pull your internet plug. You have service to provide to your fellow travelers. And you are already late. So get busy.

I generally only watch the first 39 minutes or so, I don't really watch the panel much anymore. I find it to be a very good news program, as good as you can get with TV. The Internet is far better with news.

Well, the prostitutes et. al. story came out on Saturday. The current state of affairs appears to be that the scandal has definite connections to the CIA, but that it isn't know yet if it is connected to Goss himself. Hey, we don't really know why he left, anyway! So it seems premature to tie Goss to the scandal. But it is certainly fair to speculate, and the timing of it all could be more than coincidential...

He has lots of competition. They all suck. He's the best of what's out there in the time slot. Damning praise, indeed, but there you have it.

People are watching because they like what he's said and they want to hear what he has to say.

People aren't watching as much? Well, some people no longer want to hear it. Talk it for what it's worth.

The story broke before Saturday on FR. And it broke with connections to Goss.
