I agree, he has no competition.

MSNBC has incompetent managment to scuttle the ENTIRE PMSNBC staff and model and start from 100% scratch. (seriously to the suits at PMSNBC, fire EVERYONE in front and behind the camera. no mercy)

CNN is too far gone to every recover. They don't serve the USA they serve the anti-americans of the world.

I'm still an O'Reilly fan. He's the only one out there that fought for Jessica's Law, exposed Jesse Jackson, exposed the leftist judges, etc. I don't think he's pompous, I just think he's got balls.

What's the reason for Brit Hume's huge decline? I watch every night. Though I ignore the Duke stuff. I don't know why he invests so much on-air time to it. It doesn't deserve 5 seconds.

I give BOR's Factor the same courtesy and respect he gave the Swift Boat Vets - excluding that self decorated one that ran for some office.

Looks like a lot of bitter folks have posted here. While I by no means agree with everything BOR does, he has gotten results, including the resignation of an incompetent and/or corrupt judge in Florida.

Have to give BOR credit for going after ACLU, pedophiles, corrupt judges, Rev. Jesse Jackson (who is too scared to appear on his show). Not many in the media dare to tackle these issues. And he can be interesting.

What I don't understand is why his many of his critics keep referring to him as a conservative. There is one lefty talk show host - her name escapes me at the moment - who goes into a frenzy over BOR and keeps repeating the same inane slurs against him. Either BOR is too effective in his critique of ACLU and pedophiles or he dumped her in the past. Whatever, she is one bitter woman.

Compared with the competition, BOR is the best in his time slot. If you want something fluff and tabloid, try to watch Rita's show on MSNBS.

For those bitter about Fox, BOR and TV news in general, I recommend Brit Hume and Lou Dobbs.

For me, a new low - in every sense of the word - was when he announced that the Scriptures say that "slavery is okay."

Bill was starting to get on my nerves. The final straw was the way he treated the Swift Boat Vets at the beginning.

Oh and Bill has no basic understanding of Supply and Demand.

I agree. He can be pompous sometimes, but he's usually on the mark. Some FReepers don't like BOR because he only agrees with them 80% of the issues. Most of the disagreement comes on economic issues, He has been highly critical of Lee Raymond's parachute, which some FReepers consider even greater than the Coming of Christ.

H&C and Gretta had so many sleazy lawyers on last week that I had to disinfect my TV.

FNC has zero competition ZIP nada.

The competition is simply too incompetent both in front, behind the camera, and in their offices to put any kind of credible alternative.

CNN is just too plain intelectually limited to understand they are totally uttlerly biased. See how dan rather remains the only person on the planet who thinks the guard docs are real.

Oreily also supports homosexual marriage in the form of the BS civil unions and opposes the FMA.

He reminds me of McCain or Specter in the GOP.

O'Reilly doesn't claim to be a conservative, although he obviously leans toward traditional values on most issues.

While I am not a fan of civil unions, most major companies now provide benefits to same sex partners primarily because of political correctness. That's a battle that unfortunately I think has already been lost.

Lately FNC has become the Duke Lacrosse Channel. O'Reilly leads with five minutes, followed by H&C and Gretta who devote half their telecasts to it ... every night regardless of whether there's any meaningful news or not.

With all the problems facing the U.S. and the world, 75 minutes on Duke Lacrosse is definitely overkill.

&&
Well said. Lately, I watch Brit, Fox News Sunday, and nothing more on FNS.

I think if you compare O'Reilly's positions, you'll find you agree with most of them. The FReepers who seem to dislike him the most are those who are primarily financial conservatives.

O'Reilly's stands include:
Supports the war effort, but questions strategy
Supports border security
Supports mandatory sentencing for child molesters
Generally supports traditional values, fights secularism
Considers the ACLU the greatest danger to America
Supports mandatory sentencing
Opposes capital punishment
Opposes radical Islam
Accuses oil companies of gouging, highly critical of Raymond's parachute
Opposes judges who sympathizes with criminals and give light or no sentences
Opposes teaching gay issues to elementary students, being Muslim for a week in California
Opposes MSM, particularly NYT, St. Petersburg Times
Opposes government overspending, pork barrel programs
Was highly critical of the Catholic Church sex scandals
Is highly critical of the Church's position on illegals
Opposes amnesty
Opposes abortion - lots of arguments with PP and NORAL
Critical of Jesse Jackson
Critical of George Soros
Critical of Air America

How many positions do you agree with? How many do you oppose?

Sure O'Reilly is egotistical and can be a real blow-hard, but the man is in our corner 80-90% of the time.

I don't think it is lost because the the devastating overwhelming support of Marriage Amendments.

ALL new Marriage Amendments specifically outlaw civil union and cohabitation benefits.

I think Massachusetts recent socialized medicine is a product of business just droping benefits for ALL rather than take on the added burden.

Also keep in mind some companies only provide benefits for homosexuals living together NOT normal people.

The war is far from over.
