Sign The Petition To Save Mt. Soledad Cross
ACLJ ^ | 7-May-06 | Jay Sekulow

Stop the ACLU!

The ACLU has done it again. In their campaign to rid our country of every vestige of God and Christianity, they have convinced a federal judge to order the removal of a cross from San Diego’s Mount Soledad memorial to heroes of the Korean War. We must fight back to save this religious symbol from demolition! Please read the form carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by signing the Petition below.

Petition to Save San Diego’s Mount Soledad Cross

President George W. Bush Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California Mayor Jerry Sanders of San Diego U.S. Senate Leadership San Diego City Council

The federal court’s ruling that the cross on San Diego’s Mount Soledad must be immediately removed is an abomination and an affront to God-fearing Americans everywhere. We understand the ACLU is behind this unprecedented effort to remove the cross that has been in place, in one form or another, for nearly 100 years. The cross is part of a war memorial honoring the men and women who gave their lives to defend our freedoms as a nation.

Time to apply the "from my cold dead hands" approach to the cross and 10 Commandment cases. I am sick of these radical left wing vermin trying to impose the religion of secular humanism on this country.

I was fairly sure the cross was already saved. Has something changed?

There are several communities around me that have been able to get around this issue, for such things as display of religious symbols at Christmas, by leasing the space needed to private individuals or organizations for a dollar. Then, the property can be used for whatever purpose these entities wish. This would work for the cross on the mount. Just lease the space at a dollar a year with a 99 year lease.

Here in San Francisco we had a huge cement cross on top of Mount Davidson, on city property... for DECADES. No problem.
The A.C.L.U., speaking for themselves and the athiest suers, demanded that it be taken down or moved.

Solution?
The Armenian Orthodox Church bought the city land and now were keepers of the Cross. Bless'em. The Armenians were "just minority enough" to get away with it.

With the ACLU and Jesus-haters in their PASSIONATE, fervent, ardor of hate-Jesus activity within the law, Christians have to be vigilant and protect our values.

This should show folks just how many lawyers are the Jesus-haters in this country, hiding behind the LAW for their loathing of Christianity, calling for "secularism" in this country.

The creche is LONG gone from City Hall at Christmas, yet the Menorah is still put up every December at Union Square downtown, also public property. Anyone pointing out the hypocrisy is called an anti-Semitic Nazi Jew hater...S.O.P. here in Christ-hating BLUE left coast America.

P.S. Local Jewish voice hasn't publically said anything for/against Cross or Menorah/creche debate. At least, I haven't read anything.

Done.

I've spent a lot of time at pbase.com recently. If I can't travel, it's the next best thing. One of the most fascinating things about viewing all the photographs of historical places is the religious aspect. By the time the ACLU gets done with America, it will be a nothing but a big gray space with no personality, no culture, nothing to look at.

Has something changed?

Yep. A state court has ruled it can't be handed over to the Federal Government. While the appeal on that ruling is pending, the Federal judge who's been dealing with the case for years has decided to try to bring the thing to a close by setting a deadline for removal and assessing fines from that date on. So... the 'done deal' ain't done no more.

The transfer(to the Feds) is in appeal, but the original judge is flexing his brain(?) and has ordered the cross down in 90 days or a $5000.00 per day fine, kinda funny, with an appeal in process

MORAL ABSOLUTES PING.

DISCUSSION ABOUT:

"Sign The Petition To Save Mt. Soledad Cross"

The leftists will stop at nothing to destroy our Judeo-Christian culture, I have a feeling they don't realize that they will be among the first to be beheaded by the Islamofascists.

And no amount of appeals to the First Amendment can cover that.

Another thing that doesn't occur to those who want to more or less whitewash society is the origin of the Ten Commandments. Public displays of the Commandments are often cited as an example of Christians trying to push their religion on the public in general. History hasn't been revised that much--at least, not yet.

In attacking the Ten Commandments, anti-Christian zealots are attacking the law given to Moses, a Jew, to give to his people, the Jews.

There will be plenty of porn to look at; any kind you can imagine--and some you can't.

Fear not. In the eyes of many, the ACLU is not the 10 foot tall monster of yesteryear. The time will come when they will have to account for their actions, one way or another. The people have had enough--it's only a matter of time.
